This book clearly articulates one of the major root causes of rising healthcare cost in the United States. Its amazing that so few people are paying attention to it. I've been doing my own research on this topic for 2+ years and when I read this book I was absolutely amazed because a very respectable professor validated my findings and actually I learned a lot more. It's so unfortunate that so few people really understand this issue even though it's not rocket science. Simple fact is that GPOs are in bed with suppliers and they continue to screw hospitals and public. This is a must-read for those genuinely interested in understanding Healthcare cost issue in this country.
