Works great
Wanted to second what Pixel8tryx wrote. The product works great with Mach3 for controlling my CNC router from my laptop. As long as you dedicate your laptop to this task, don't run lots of background processes, and turn off network adapters and the ACPI battery driver from the Device manager, any laptop with a PCMCIA slot should be up to the job...

Easy to intsall and use
Installation was really easy and device is working perfectly.I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

Worked perfectly out of the box.
Very pleased with this product. Worked perfectly as a LPT port for pc to pc connection using a pc link cable and Total Commander software to connect a WinXP laptop (No LPT port) to a dos based laptop for file transfer. Very pleased!!!

I still not unable to get this device to work on my computer
I have spent several days following the instructions from the technical assistance with the parallel port card but I have been unable to get any signs of life out of this card. The technical assistance personnel have been polite, friendly and knowledgeable. As of the last attempt at success it was suggested that I needed some other software on my computer to get this card to function. At this time, I have temporarily dropped any effort to get this card working.

Can't rate the card since I can't install it.
I tried to install the card when I received it, but the installer was unable to find the installation executable. Since I haven't had time to Google the message, the card is currently not in use.I can't recommend a product that doesn't include the necessary installation files.

KEEPS CRASHING
KEEPS LOOSING CONNECTION, AFTER 1 YEAR I THREW IT AWAY BECAUSE I GOT TIRED OF CONSTANTLY REINSTALLING THE CARD AND CANNOT RETURN IT. COMPANY WON'T ANSWER EMAILS

I had some reservations because I was using this with Mach3 software on a laptop but it has performed flawlesslysince I installed it and the installation was pretty much automatic.

Absolutely clean functionality
It's been over a year now and never a hiccup. I both print and scan on an HP Office Jet Pro 1175Cse. I plug and unplug the device for each job. My computer is an IBM/lenovo ThinkPad T60. It simply works!
