LA Portraits Hardcover – June 25, 2013

I pre-purchased this item and it took over a year to be delivered! To this day, I have no idea what the hold up was. After enjoying L.A. Woman so much I couldn't wait to get ahold of Estevan Oriol's new book. While it is good, it just doesn't have the same feel as his previous work. With that said, I'm still a loyal collector. Same decent quality from Drago. Nice glossy pics.

This is hands down one of the best books of the DECADE. Estevan Oriol KNOCKED THE LIVING CRAP out of this one. I tip my hat to you. I want more. It is a beautiful book that you really never get to see. Estevan has respect from all walks of life in LA and this book shows it. I would love to have some of these prints in my place. I can't wait to see the next book. AMAZING.

Another great book to add to the coffee table. The book is just what I expected from Estevan Oriol. Raw, straight from the streets material in well done black & white photography. This is a glimpse of what everyday life is like if you come from L.A. Coming from this lifestyle. If you haven't already, pick up L.A. Woman from Mr. Oriol.

My brother-in-law was featured in this book, and has subsequently passed away. The photograph that was taken of him was used during his services. Estevan is so talented photographer who is also a very kind man. I would recommend this book since it depicts the raw and wonderful images.

Gang members and tattoos....it might sound simplistic to say those comprise the vast majority of photos in this book, but the photos are *powerful*! The photographer had extraordinary access to the people portrayed in this book and he did a superb job. Also, the colors and the printing are of excellent quality.

Always been a fan of his(Estevan Oriol) photography!!

Me parece un libro muy lindo con una impresión excelente, imágenes icónicas de estevan oriol.pero es un libro muy caro para lo que ofrece ya que la mayoría de las fotos son de doble página y son muy pocas las fotografías que tiene el libro.A menos que de verdad seas fan de estevan no lo recomendaría ya que es mucho dinero para lo que se ofrece.

Jeder, der mit dem Westtoast-Hip Hop aufgewachsen ist, sollte sich die Bücher vom Maestro Estevan Oriol anschauen oder sogar kaufen. Keiner bringt die Stimmung des 90er und 2000er HipHop und Chicano-Style so perfekt rüber. Film-Grain, Farbe, Kontrast ist einfach immer perfekt und der Stimmung angemessen. Die Bücher sind hochwertig gedruckt und zeigt eine Vielzahl seiner Bilder aus verschiedenen Jahren.
