Amazing color for highlights
Update Fuscia after 5 washes see image and notes, my strands with one time bleached portion is still holding strong not as deep color but still beautiful and vibrant. Some bleached ends aren’t taking too well. I’ve still receive compliments on the ombré look as it fades.the roots where I have white still holds color very well.Update:Urban Fuscia Update! I decided to do my whole head in the Fuscia color after bleaching it once and really liked the highlight bits I did. Becuase I’ve used metallic silver and gave me a dingy blue green before ,but this is vibrant ruby purplish reddish color! I love this color! I left it on for 35 mins. The purplish color last picture is natural daylight around 10am and the reddish is more in my incandescent bathroom lightingI don’t know how much it will fade it what will come of it will update later….This was my first time doing my own highlights and well my foil isn’t exactly the neatest looking but who cares the end result was what I wanted highlights of the amethyst color and not too over the top. I’ll update as I wash and see how long this will take. I also have grays that I’m growing out so this held onto those grays well for now. I am excited to see how it fades as this is my first attempt with this color and brand. I’m going to try the fuscia and mix it in next month so it all blends in. Didn’t smell much at all!

beautiful hair dye but now has an AI model instead of the other girl 💔
first off i loveee this hair dye. it has been my go to for like 3 or 4 years now, (the purple amythest). it stays for a good amount of time and is the perfect purple metallic color. the only reason im not giving it 5 stars is because they decided to rebrand the box and make the model AI. 🫠 i couldn’t find it for months and thought they discontinued the color, but looked it up and realized the box just looks different. usually i’m all for a visual rebranding, but taking away a human model just to replace it with AI (which looks worse btw) really disappoints me. they probably did it to be more cost efficient but it makes me sad to see the old baddie model go. 💔

So vibrant over lightened hair
Just because it's permanent, don't think you don't need to lighten your hair. I had been using semi permanent color on my daughter's hair for about 6 months, but was getting really sick of constantly refreshing it because she loves long, hot showers. The back of her hair was always extra faded because of standing in the shower.I was so excited to find a fucsia permanent dye! Finally, I would have to redo her hair all the time. It still fades (especially in hot water), but it stays vibrant so much longer!! I've saved so much money because we can go 6 weeks between coloring instead of 3, and it looks good that whole time.Just make sure your hair is light enough to receive the color. While medium brown hair will change some, it won't be bright. You can see the difference between her bleached hair and her natural hair in the photo. The top inch and a half or so was her natural medium brown hair and the rest was bleached to a medium yellow (it's a deep enough color that you don't need to go as light as you would for pastels). We only bleach every 3 months, and we colour twice in that time. The color over her natural hair isn't too noticable different at the root, but as it grows out, it gets too noticable. Hope that helps. In the photo, you can see this product on the left. On the right, from top to bottom: natural, bleached, and what it looked like before this dye.

NOPE - DOES NOT WORK! Never again trying these boxed rainbow hair colors/dyes...
For decades I've been coloring my hair mostly by myself, including normal reds & blonds AND vegan rainbow colors like Manic-Panic & similar dyes (often partially bleaching out areas of my hair, even on top of using lighter blond box colors first).Well, I've been seeing these cool boxed rainbow hair colors the last several years, but was skeptical about how well they'd work. I saw this pink hue & loved it! (1st photo) and I'd already colored my hair a light natural blond to prepare again for putting another rainbow hue on it.As soon as I began to put it on I was more doubtful it would be effective & certainly not the shade of pink shown on the box (see 2nd photo), plus there was minimal smell and scalp tingling. Then upon washing it out & drying it it turned out splotchy all over -&- it was only a light pink, where it did take or sort of! (see 3rd photo)! Nothing at all like the rad pink shade on the box!A waste of money I do Not have to waste, AND only created more work & time for me in order to correct it! I choose one of my darker pinks & red container vegan dyes mixed together & colored over it -now a darker yet a bright pink-red. I should've stuck to what I know works.NOT RECOMMENDED ! Not even for natural blonds, colored blonds, or bleached hair!! Highly disappointed & dissatisfied :((

Welp...
So, I'm not a big fan of box dyes. I liked the conveniency of it and the fact that I mess with my hair on a weekly basis, it is definitely cheaper. And, sometimes you don't always get the color you hoped for. You should never expect the color of the box. It's just an example of what it could look like. It was pretty close but I tested it out. I had 2 types of hair dye, 2 types of shampoo. I got this to see if it lasted longer than the other. There were no difference in shampoo. It did last a few days longer than the other. But, washing your hair every other day, as I need to, you are basically giving the drain your money. For the price this is, I don't think it's worth it. The color was very pretty and if it lasted longer, I'd definitely get it again. But not that I was looking but it was not Metallic. As the other 1 of these I tried. I just based it off of the color was similar to what I wanted. Slightly darker but again, it's more of an example, so I was basing it off of it was color to what I wanted rather than that's exactly what I wanted. Sadly, with colors like these, you're not going to get a permanently solution, but you do hope you get what you pay for and this was not worth it at all. I will stick to Manic Panic and Arctic Fox.
