Best book for investors and managers
Only Paranoid SurviveBy- Andrew S. GroveIf you’re wrong, you will die. But most companies don’t die because they are wrong; most dies because they don’t commit themselves. They fritter away their momentum and their valuable resources while attempting to make a decision. The greatest danger is in standing still.Only paranoid survive is a classic lesson in leadership skills that every manager and investor will benefit from. The most powerful concept of the book in my opinion is the following concept from Andy Grove: If you see someone coming up with a new idea or a completing product, then you should ask yourself the question: If this is a thread to the business if this get 10 times bigger or better or faster than the probability of this actually happening is very big and you must have to do something about it. And fast. The final chapter in the book deals with how Grove thought about the internet. One should remind that this book was written in 1997, but it is fascinating how Grove already identified industries which would be badly affected by the Internet. He already was aware that for instance a lot of AD revenues would flow from print into the Internet. One should not forget that this book was written a year before Google was even founded !!!!In my opinion this is truly great book.I believe both Investor and managers can profit a lot from this book. I do like first person perspective books a lot, especially if can compare them against articles and theories about the same company written by other people.

Thumbs up to Allied BOOK Center
If you want to know the challenges that a company faces during transition of its product line then this is the best book. It describes how Intel survived during the period in 1980s when they got tough competition from Japanese and much more. A huge thumbs up for Allied Book Center (Amazon Seller) for providing book in good condition. I really like the Vintage book as it gives an elegent look to my tech book collection.

Insighful and concise
Every corp goes thru inflexion points. This book lays out the common recognition patterns and suggestions on dealing with the same. Valuable learning from the experiences shared. Even though this book is quite old and the IT industry has expanded much beyond what is forecasted, this is still very relevant. Its a short book and quick easy read. Recommended for decision makers at middle management and senior levels.
