TUYUNG60x60cm Eggcrate Square Soft Grid for Godox Neewer 24" 60x60cm Softbox Lighting

I’m sold. Ive started using these for a couple years now and I’m telling you they’re for real. So much so that three of the four soft boxes have egg crates which channel the light while not focusing it. Yes the ribbing is not rigid enough to keep the frame perfectly straight - there’s bowing in mine as well - but you know what? It might look a little funny but for Pete’s sake don’t make that some silly reason to not get these. Tell you why.•LongevityI’ve been using this on a regular basis for a couple years now. Not one tear or bit of fraying has developed in that time. I store these by twist-folding rather than laying the soft box in a triangle. It’s not yet shown signs of deterioration that I can see.•PortabilityWhile these deploy at 32x32 they also fold twice. Once to a triangle and a second to twist into an egg-shape. They won’t stay that way if you also keep the diffusion panel (mine has the outer on on) but also when you fold it with the Tuyung egg crate attachment it’ll spring back out. So I purchased a set of black Velcro straps that secure the egg for transport. I’ve done multiple setups and breakdowns yet the kit works fine. Along the edge is where the squares crinkle but I take a few moments to play with them to make sure the light gets thrown.I have this, the 2x2ft softbox, 4 flashes, 6 transceivers, 3 light stands, and two S-type mounts, all fitting in a 40L tactical backpack. Awesome.•DeploymentThese soft boxes like to open. So unfurl the thing, open your light stand & attach. It truly doesn’t take much time to get rolling. It also cuts down time to break the kit down & pack.•Lighting QualityNo freaking problem. This thing works WELL. I use Nikon SB900 flashes plus a new Neewer LCD flash and have tried each with both their some diffuser as well as just using the ultra wide built-in fresnel lens cover and there are zero hot spots. And I’ve been shooting portraits at ISO 400 with the flash set at 1/32 power at the softbox.•ValueIt costs a fraction of what my first foldable soft box cost - what, $160? It’s done so well that my entire portable light studio is outfitted with Godox or Neewer soft boxes. Strip soft boxes set at 1/16th, main light at 1/32 & low fill at 1/64th power. It’s become my happy spot.•Peace Of MindMy happy spot is that I don’t feel nearly as intimidated as before regarding how to properly light subjects. Start out small. Get this $40 and the $30 24x24 soft box for a dual light kit (make sure each box has the S-type bracket attachment). Add the two Neewer off camera flashes at $35/pop, decent light stands plus a $19 set of wireless flash transceivers & you’re ready to roll.

As other reviews have stated, the 60cmX60cm grid comes too small. I made it work with the softbox, but I wish it was made to actually fit that size of softbox.

These are advertised as 24", or 60x60 cm. This is incorrect. If you are purchasing these for a 24" soft box they will be too small. They measure 19 3/4 x 19 3/4. The only way I could get these to work would be to summon up some sort of sleeve to make them useful. These would be useful in an 18"x18" scenario. Nothing more. Only reason I'm not returning these is because I'm sure I can find a use for them with another light in the future.
