Dissapointing
This is a dissapointing first outing for Bloody Roar on the PS2, the games controls are tough to get used to if you have played other fighting games on this console such as Tekken Tag. It does look great during the game, but the actual gameplay lacks in replay-ability and two player is not that great either. All in all I would say stick with DOA2 or Tekken for now.

Superb!!
This game is very good indeed. Some people will argue and say "but you can't even tag" but you don't exactly have the brilliant ability to transform into beasts in other games do you!. I think every Bloody Roar fan like myself will agree though that even this game has some flaws. Firstly, the loading times can get a bit annoying but thats not a huge problem. The main flaw with this game I found and I must admit I was dissapoited with is that you can't unlock anything!. The charachters are great but you can't get any more. None the less this is a very good game and if you are a fan of beat em ups I certainly recommend this title.

This will transform you.
Ever since I bought Bloody Roar I thought cool. Then Bloody Roar 2 came out and I thought even cooler. Then Bloody Roar 3 comes out. Now I'm thinking...coolest. A good choise of characters mutating into vicious beasts. What more could a us monsters ask for.

Fun, but not challenging
As the first Bloody Roar to make it to the PS2, I was expecting a greater leap in terms of graphics and playability. However what you have is merely an average fighter which doesn't provide any long-term challenge or any amount of long-term playability. This is the sort of game you can play with a 10 year old. The fighting system is simplified to such an extent that you can get beaten by someone playing for the very first time. All of the time and effort you spent perfecting your 10-punch combos in DOA and Tekken are lost here, as you can get beaten by someone who presses random buttons as fast as they can.Fun for a couple of hours but then it gets very predictable.
