Lasted for Many Years
I purchased two of these locks on November 16, 2014 and both are still working flawlessly without fail. Locks are being used on two storage sheds and have withstood the hot rainy summers and cold snowy winters without any degradation of functionality. I was surprised that I've used them so long when I looked back at the purchase date. The dial still turns as good as they did when brand new. Both locks lost the black rubber cover, but that didn't affect the turning of the numbers. I highly, highly recommend this product for outdoor use.

Changing dial numbers before closing does not lock it
Its thumb wheel dial digit must be rotated and changed for it to be relocked after opening. But it seems that if do that before closing the shackle, it is not locked and can simply be reopened. Those digit(s) must be changed AFTER closing the shackle. Like most locks, the dial cannot be left at its correct code when reclosing. The dial must be changed. But for this lock, that change needs to be done after reclosing, not before.

Not the best choice
The locks seem to work just fine, but the protective cover falls off easily or is missing on some locks. I've reached out to Master Lock and they do not have a replacement cover that can be purchased separately, so you have to replace the entire lock if that cover is defective. They wouldn't replace under warranty, only offered a coupon.

The rubber cover is of no use
The lock looks sturdy and setting the new code is easy as pie, although I've never made pie. The rubber flapper looks like it is just a decoration, because clearly it won't keep anything but large animals out.... It won't keep rain or dirt out, and it never stays shut. There are a couple of tiny indents in the casting, and I suppose the rubber tabs should go into those indents and hold it in place, but in real life they don't. We'll see how it holds up to the elements soon enough!
