Falls apart easily
If you want to just sharpen the pencil until theres no pencil left then these are for you. The charcoal falls out immediately each time you think youve got it to the point you can maybe use it. Ive pretty much wasted an entire pencil in just sharpening it without being able to actually use it.The white is nice on the paper and blends well but I've only been able to use the pieces that fall from the pencil which I now keep in a jar so I can actually use it.I recommend skipping these altogether and just getting charcoal sticks.

Very difficult if not impossible to sharpen
I tried several methods to sharpen theses and several of them. Regardless of the method the lead crumbles to the wood shank. IMO not usable. Methods used where pencil sharpener crank version, small hand sharpener, very sharp knife, fine sandpaper, razor. Nothing worked.
