It is a little darker than I like but I can still use it. I turned up the brightness on my phone and I had no trouble seeing the screen. Update 10/22/18. I love the degree of privacy this screen protector has but that comes at a cost. I find I have to turn up the brightness every time I want to use my phone to scan or use it to pay for items at a store checkout. In some cases this is still not bright enough.
