Coleman always the brand to buy
This is our second coleman portable toilet. First lasted 15 years. This new one has all the original features, but happily it is higher and easier to use. Not sure it will still fit in those spots in the camper made to slide a toilet into. The pop up camper

Men your Junk will fir nicely
Bought this as a backup. today was the day. but when I bought it it looked might close for a mans junk to fir without dragging the bottom of the pool didn't have time to check it so it got forgotten. Well needed it for replacement today. Checked it out and it is fine So I bought another one as backup today. So for now it gets a tentative 5 unless it just comes all apart in the futureBest thing about it is the seat is like setting on a regular toilet. No need to pack things up to fit in the hole.Every other manufacture should take note

No complaints.
I just got back from a 12 day trip in the boat and this sucker got a lot of use so I'm the perfect candidate to leave the first review.First of all I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The toilet works great and is very easy to use. It was a little bit bigger than I had pictured so I had to find a different space for it on the boat.Pros:-Huge bowl, much bigger than most porta-pottis - and it's almost the same height as a regular toilet.-Easy to use/flush/fill etc. It's not hard to separate the units to empty the bottom tank. A convenient handle on both sides makes it pretty easy to carry to empty too.Cons:-Flushing can cause a little bit of splashback. I found that if you push the flush lever over to halfway before pushing it all the way over to flush, this prevents that. Expect to wipe a few drops off the seat either way though. No biggie to us, hard flushing regular toilets can do the same thing. One thing I would add is that you might want to use a funnel to fill the top clean water tank. It's a small fill-hole and it makes it much easier to fill. And, this being a 5 gallon capacity toilet keep in mind what 5 gallons weighs. Ever carry a 5 gallon bucket full of liquid 400 feet down a dock? Yeah, keep that in mind. But being of bigger capacity meant we could stay out on the water for days at a time so for me it was worth it. Even though I was the one who had to empty it. The flush handle leaks just a little bit of water when pumping - not much, and it's clean water but it's worth noting. Also, make sure when reattaching the top and bottom units you get a good seal. It's not hard to do, just look between the tanks when putting them together. Otherwise you might find yourself taking your boat carpet out on the dock to wash and dry it and spray it with febreeze. Like I said, this is easily preventable and I chock it up to operator error. Maybe just a few too many Coronas on vacation.Good toilet. Happy shopper.

Just what I was looking for
I love this portable toilet.I decided to get the large version.I’ve done hours of research trying to find a portable toilet with a big seat and this one has the biggest.it measures 9-1/16 wide and 12-1/8 long which is bigger than my toilet seat at home.it has a compartment in the back of the toilet.I only thing that is kinda a con is the valve handle to flush the toilet it’s kinda hard to move but other than that this toilet is awesome.

I feel great that this is a great device all around
Had a similar one but shorter. Now I am up a higher and more comfortable I use it in my big rig where most places don't allow truckers to use their bathroom..easy to dump just remember to pull the handle outwards before pushing the lever to open the door.I also use it in my camper just in case so I'm not using my black water tank before I get to the camp site

Great product....for #1 only!
This toilet is cool for going #1 and ONLY #1. We learned the hard way. My hubby and I went camping this last memorial day and we bought this because another family member had suggested this to us. It worked. You have to pump water before and after use. The 2nd day of use, the pump wasn't working that well and it took forever for water to come into the bowl. That was annoying. On my first test run, it began to leak, but not a lot. DO NOT do #2 in this toilet. It is very gross to clean out. The bio blue we put inside did not dissolve #2 and when we dumped it we saw it.,...very gross. Next time we will only do #1. I didnt mind how low it sat since I am 5 ft. However my 6ft husband did mind a lot. He had to kneel for his entire performance.

Bad design
It is hard to move the handle to “flush” and it you pump too hard the water spills over the side. This is a bad design, the one we had years ago was much much better. Should go back to the pull handle instead of this kind.

Does not deserve the Coleman Logo
I wish I had heeded the others warnings about this product. I had a hard time thinking anything made by Coleman was inferior, but alas, all the negs that others have passed on, I must concur with. As pleased as I have always been with Colemans quality and design on their other products, this one is a polar opposite. A total flop. The seat itself is narrow and thin. The bowl is HUGE (But shallow) by comparison. I looked at it at first and feared falling in. I didn't, but it is very uncomfortable. The bowl is so shallow that you risk touching your work while cleansing yourself. I did this last nite and it was the last straw. (Good thing I saved my old potti "just in case")Yes, there is splash back when flushing, no matter how slowly you actuate the valve. I have to sanitize the seat and inside of the lid after each flush. I had no issues with the flush valve itself (You have to pull out on the handle a bit, like a clutch and THEN actuate it)Splitting the top from bottom is not difficult, but the bowl has such a large footprint that I have to practically hug the thing to twist it apart. Not my idea of a nice thing to cuddle with.It does empty easily, but the spout is short and you had better be on target. I have had no such issue with my Thetford.I bought this one thinking it could be modified for semi permanent use in my vintage trailer (Read: No holding tanks)and home. It can be for that purpose, but it is so uncomfortable to use that I am going back to my old Thetford and will have to eat the 70 bones spent on this one. I can't send it back..it's used now.

Life saver when nature calls
This is used in hubby's truck as he is a long hauler and at this time when nature calls he now has a place to go where usually a lot of places are closed or the hwy is closed ahead and you are in a line up of traffic waiting. Easy to dump and clean. I would recommend all truckers to carry one.

Pompe a eau très bruyante
Pas très discret la nuit lors de la chasse d'eau. Faut serrer le gros bouchon de vidange très serrer sinon il fuit.

Not impressed
So disappointed with this product...it has leaked at the water pump since day one and then started leaking waste between waste tank and bracket for flush handle....Coleman will be receiving my opinion of their product directly

This is a Coleman product so it is sturdy, but perhaps not as we'll thought out as most of their other products. The base and seat are coupled together by a series of locking pins which are a bit awkward. The seat is not as comfortable as other units I have used. Otherwise it works well.
