Good plastic replacement for factory lexus 1998 es300 remote
Works great for a 1998 lexus es300 factory remote. Just swap the internal from your old remote onto the new shell.

This is exactly like the one I have from the manufacturer. Every button is exactly the same. Very happy.
This case for my key fob/alarm is perfect. I had an original manufacturer one that came with my car in 1998 and the plastic ring at the top that held it had broken. I ordered this and am impressed that it fits like a glove. It was very easy to disassemble my old case and take out the little mother board and battery and just simply transfer it to the new case. No tools needed. I just used a dime coin to pop open the old case (or a small flat head screw driver would work to open the old case). Each button works great on the new case and functions exactly like the old one. Very happy I ordered this and have my car alarm keyless entry again!

Rubber Sock Causes Button to Stick
This fit great for my 2003 Toyota Avalon. Like other reviews stated, however, when I initially switched my circuit to the new fob the lock button was stuck being constantly pressed. After trying different things, I used the rubber sock from my original fob with the new casing and it worked perfectly!

Just what I needed! FYI - It's just the housing, not a working remote.
The guts of our old wornout remote case fit perfectly into this new housing, very happy!I was even able to buy another one with a broken case on eBay and made it new, now I have 2 "new" FOBs!

Could be better
I purchased two of these because both of my old fobs were worn through the hole that attaches to the key ring. Both of the new fobs had the same issue. I had to use the flexible rubber piece from my old fob to get them to work. The rubber piece supplied with the device is ever-so-slightly too large and when I assembled the device the buttons would not depress properly. When I used the rubber piece from the old fob, everything worked fine. Alls well that ends well but the manufacturer should fix this problem since the issue was reproducible.
