Q: Has anyone ran from full charge to flat ? Is 8 hr use be achieved or is it a lie?

the description of this item states that it can be used with a mobile phone. it cannot be used wireleslly, the phone is connected to the amplifier by wire, and there is an output for wired connection of a set of headphones.

Q: can you plug in a microphone into it

Yes you can plug in a microphone with a 3.5mm jack plug. However, it depends on what type of mic it is. Most mics are un-amplified and the signal level would be too low and what you would get from the phones output too quiet also. This amp does not have much gain (amplification factor) From my use and I think the gain is no more than 1.5 x the input.

In my opinion, the device simply amplifies what it hears, if the input, I.e. your caller is a bad line, it will amplify a bad line. This is not a filtering device, just an amplifier. I use mine on the motorbike to make the music louder than my phone can give. It does distort the music slightly when amplifying but it’s ok for me.
