SEGA Mega Drive Classics (Nintendo Switch)

I’m not too sure why there’s been issues for other reviewers on here as I’ve been playing this (a lot!) over the past couple of days and had no lag problems, game crashes or sound out of sync. This has run smoothly and perfectly. As a 36 year old gamer who grew up in the console wars (I was actually a Nintendo fan with a NES and SNES but played the Megadrive a lot at friends houses back in the day) this amazing collection has brought back so many fond memories of some absolute classics. My favourites being Sonic 1 & 2, the Streets of Rage trilogy, Altered Beast, Golden Axe trilogy, Sonic Spinball, Columns, Gunstar Heroes and many more and they’re all here in perfect emulation and even better than ever with their screen filters. In addition there’s also online mode, local multiplayer, challenges, rewind, save states - so much more than I could have hoped for in an already very impressive collection that is just a bargain for what you get. Playing in handheld mode is also dream come true for a retro gamer like myself. The Switch is really proving to be a perfect home for retro games (with this, the NES classics, Street Fighter Collection etc) and I am loving it.

Great to have a game filled with old classics, especially tge Streets of rage 1, 2 and 3 games. It can be slightly annoying in 2 player, when on Streets of Rage because it kept exiting the game. Overall, it was really good though, great to run through the old classics. Oh, the menu took a bit of getting used to, but once you are used to it, it's fine.

This game is great, loads on there, all classics. Just buy it, it will be great fun!

It arrived 2 days ago already spent 6 hours playing classic megadrive. Others have mentioned problems with the frame rate on sonic I haven’t found this at all, although I updated the game immediately. You can save on 4 slots for each game and play online too. The game range could be a touch better: I would have had Terminator 2, Mortal Kombat, Ecco the Dolphin and Sonic + Knuckles as well. Although sega might not own the rights to some of these. It is definitely the best Sega megadrive collection I have bought. Love Alienstorm, Golden Axe, Shinobi, Decap Attack and Sonic especially. When you consider how many games you get for the price it is worth it. Sonic 1 alone is £5.99 on the nintendo market.

The input lag is terrible for games like sonic and alien soldier. However, its worth having for the phantasy star and shining force games.

An enjoyable collection of Sega games during their golden age. Plenty of variety here with some real classics such as Sonic and Streets of Rage as well as some not so well known titles such as Virtual Fighter the Sprite version! A nice touch has also been added to the collection where you can fast forward and rewind the games during play which can take away some of the frustrations players had to face before the age of game saves

This made my husband and brothers very happy. It took them back to their childhood and they remember how frustrating some of these games were. The good thing is you can now save your progress, unlike back in the old days.

海外版パッケージなので 国内とタイトル名など違いがあるものもありますが 大量に入っててお得です。

Un cartucho con bastantes juegos de los entrañables de nuestra querida megadrive. Con mucho juego de rol y con notorias ausencias, pero esto tiene que ver con los derechos y licencias y sus costes. Vale mucho la pena además por la calidad de la emulación, la posibilidad de hacer la experiencia muy similar a la que vivimos hace 30 años, con imagen TV CRT, sonido perfecto y jugabilidad a prueba de bombas. Si sacasen otra selección también la compraría.
