Not Suitable for the Hot Sun
For everyone scanning for reviews on this one, let me give you the straight skinny. I did a TON of research before finally deciding to buy this one - I looked at Neso/Otentik, EZ Up, Easthill, you name it - I compared 'em all and he balanced all of the pros and cons. The thing that sold me on this one was the over all size, but what I thought I would experience out with my family at the beach simply could not happen. While it boasts a tremendous square footage of 64 feet, the space it advertises is hardly worth the pain you deal with in battling any direct sun, especially above 85 degrees.First, let's talk about setup and break down. You definitely need to watch the video on here to get a better idea because going rogue and trying to do it on the fly might cause unnecessary delays, so watch it. Setup is super quick, maybe 1 - 5 minutes in total time. Pay attention to how you unfold it as it will help when you put it all back together. Putting back together is just reverse order of assembly, but in all fairness to people who complained about fitment of the carry bag, they're not totally wrong. It WILL fit, but you have to work the bag down as you pack it in since the tent components will now be bulging out since first opening it.Next the design. Try as you might though, you will never have the full 64 square feet, which is only attached at the corners, to actually stay nice and tight because it wrinkles up with its plastic-type material. Yes the sandbags help, but the fact that the floor is not sewn across the side walls makes it kind of an awkward design. You're almost better off cutting the floor out and buying an oversized beach blanket. The height is great and you don't have to crouch as much as some of the other sunshades out there. Now for the biggest downside - the actual SHADE part of the whole product. Does it offer shade, yes. Is it UPF 50 - maybe I can't really confirm it. What it does not do though is keep you cool while remaining inside of it. In fact, it does the opposite, especially on hotter days. Think of it as a glorified diffuser with the way the sun still penetrates inside. Don't even think of keeping the side walls down either as it will become one giant incubator. It's not even worth bringing out if you're in hotter temperatures. In theory, this product should work, but because of the materials, it falls short, especially given its decent price tag. This totally had my vote when I decided to purchase, but given how hot the internal temperature is when setup (even with side walls unzipped) and how much sun penetrates through, I give it two stars. For those that have muscled their way through this review and wondering about appropriate alternatives, look into recreational grade fabric tops with silver UV coating or anything that blocks more sunlight as well as the UV rays. I'm personally looking into canopies now, but just today, a nearby beach goer had a similar looking product made by Kelty that offered way more shade than Core's product.

Great tent, even in wind
Worked great on the beach, even in moderate windy conditions. I used the neon plastic stakes, filled the sand pockets with sand, and this tent held up against the constant wind on the beach. Fast, easy setup. Fast, easy breakdown, but good luck getting it back in the carrying bag. You can eventually work it into the bag, but it will take some time and effort.Besides the difficulty of getting it back in the bag, I only have two minor complaints. The bag of stakes are separate and could easily get separated from the tent. Also, the ties for putting the tent back in the bag are not attached to anything, so like the bag of stakes could easily get misplaced.Other than that, I recommend this tent based on my one use.

Great tent we use all the time
We live in Hawaii and we use this tent every weekend. It's so easy to put up and take down. It gets a little cramped when you try to squeeze 4 adults in there but it can be done. It's perfect for my husband and I and all of our gear. The attached sand bags are great to weigh the tent down but we have to use the tie lines too because it does get windy here. It's really lightweight, even lighter than a lawn chair and has back pack straps you can carry on your back. I was a little worried when I read the reviews about not being able to get it back in the bag. We have never had a problem getting it back in the bag. It does take a joint effort to wrap it back up. I squeeze it together while my husband ties it and then you just work it back into the bag a bit at a time but honestly it's not as hard as people make it sound. It would be nice if they made the bag a little bigger. Overall it's really great quality and does the job. We've used our tent dozens of times and it's still like new.

There's a trick to getting this tent back into it's case.
This tent was easy to set up and did a great job letting me enjoy the beach without being in the direct sun all day.I read a lot of complaints in other reviews about getting it back into it's case. There is a trick to it. If you think you're just going to shove it in there... It won't happen.I had to roll the case up, think like bunching up a long sock before putting it on a toddler. Fit the bunched up case over the top, and then roll it down the rest of the way. Many beach-goers witnessed me fighting with it before I figured this out. I'm sure that was great people-watching material.Over all a great little tent and I'm pleased.

Great Beach tent.
Awesome tent for the beach. Bigger than expected and very light carrying.

Worst designed storage bag ever
I’ve been using a friends Ozark Trails quick set up sun shade the past few months to take my 4 year old to the beach by myself. I wanted to buy one for us but it’s been out of stock since the fall 2019. This tent seems nearly identical, even better bc it comes with an extra side wall. I should have listened to other reviewers who say the storage bag is too small. I set this tent up once in our house and folded it up the way I would after the beach. It is done correctly but I don’t carefully smooth out all fabric to get it back to the tight pristine roll it was in when unpacked. That’s impractical for when in real use. As the picture shows it won’t easily go back in. In fact I struggled to get it in this much. For the price they sure should have made a bag easier to repack. This really sucks bc the bag is nice with padded straps and this is a very easy up tent as described. I’m probably going to have to return it and am very sad about this.

So far so good!
We've only used this once so far and it was at a lake, not the ocean, so I can't yet vouch for how well it would stand up to the winds more common at ocean beaches. Initial impression is very good. It was much quicker to set up and tear down than our previous (larger but far more complicated) REI sun shelter. It's a little small for our family of four as our kids are getting older but definitely works, especially since we don't spend much time with all four of us in the shelter at once.
