I'll never use another kind of skewer again. The rachet design makes it incredibly easy to get the perfect clamp tightness. The skewer is also slightly longer than most skewers are, meaning that you never risk the nut running out of thread and then catapulting off. They're also quite light and clearly made of high quality metal.

These skewers are the best combination of quality, security and weight that I have found. They replace some low-cost, very light-weight skewers that weighed just about 50 grams but had nylon washers that broke. The lever on those low-cost skewers never had a nice over-center feel when clamping them, and I never felt like they provided a firm grip.These CORKI skewers cost twice as much, and at 68 grams they weigh a little more, but they're much, much better. They seem to be very sturdy and well-made, and they still weigh much less than the 127 gram original-equipment skewers that came with my high-end bike.Instead of flipping a lever, like on traditional skewers, you rotate the lever to clamp the skewers. This approach, combined with the good build quality of the skewers seems to provide a better, more secure clamping force. Once you've tightened the skewer, you pull the lever out to position it wherever you want. It's a great idea, and a great way to clamp your axles to your frame!

Just buy these. Don't even think twice. This is such an outstanding upgrade compared to a regular skewer. Not only does it give you the opportunity to clamp your wheel on with much greater force, it's shaved 40 grams off of my former quick-release skewer set. This is a beautiful set of skewers and the mechanism by which it works is ingenious. In fact, I'm shocked that the industry has not moved to this type of ratchet system already. It's a true game changer for people without a thru-axle. For the price, I can't imagine a better set of skewers. If I could give this 6 stars I would.

I replaced the one that was broken in half and came with bicycle as original part. The length of rear wheel quick release shaft is just right. After I installed it and checked how far the shaft sticks out of adjusting nut, I was relatively satisfied with the result. I would hardly notice anything sticking out beyond the adjusting nut. It is not covered but I don't have problem with that. Since I only had this for a week or so I would not talk about durability or strength of this item. It took me minor frustration to set the wheel in the forks but after that it was simple and easy task - slide through and tightening the adjusting nut.

These are a fantastic design, both in form and function. I wanted some red accents for my bike, plus the innovative alternative to a typical cam lock skewer design is really handy.The red color is vivid and attractive, and the machining is high quality as well. Fit and finish are fantastic.On mine, it seems that they could use a little lubrication so the lever part pulls easier when trying to loosen or tighten the skewer. I’m going to squirt a little powdered graphite in there, and I bet that will help with any metal-on-metal issues.

If you remove wheels often these are great. It takes the guesswork out of the quick release tensioning. Just spin the lever until you reach the desired tension then re-position the lever to your liking. Dont over tighten these. the nuts are plastic. some have mentioned stripping. Probably could happen if you over tighten. Highly recommended for weight weenies. I expect these to last a long time. Will probably buy another set for back up.

Great skewers. Very high quality and super durable. Locks in nice and tight but is simple enough to remove with very little effort.The high quality material and adjustable lock position makes this the best skewer I've ever had. Doesn't hurt that it looks sleek as well.

This product is mis-labled as a "quick release". It is nothing but a nut and bolt system with decorative nut and bolt head. Very misleading and very annoying.Wasted 35 dollars. Now sitting in crap of stuff that doesn't work box. THANKSWhomever decided this was a quick release needs to look one up and SEE how a quick release actually works and what IT means.

Als ich die ausgepackt hatte war ich skeptisch. Aber.....saugeil. :-) ich habe diese am Cube Triathlonrad.Guter Kauf, ich freue mich sehr darüber.

As title says, they do look good but on using them both front & rear wheels moved in my carbon dropouts on the first ride!!! Marred the dropouts as well. Buy at own risk!!! Just road with some KCNC ti skewers, 41grams, on my Argon 18 disc bike & solid as a rock!!!

...die Titanschnellspanner von corki Cycles schwimmen vermutlich sogar in Milch. Eigentlich schade, dass ich mir die MTB-Variante kostenlos zum Testen bestellt hatte, um an einem Trekking-Rad einen Schnellspanner zu ersetzen, der mir nach der Montage einer Anhängerkupplung neulich ausgerissen ist. Und doppelt schade, dass Gewicht mir ziemlich egal ist, denn bei mir sitzt das Gewichtsproblem auf dem- und nicht am Fahrrad.Etwas zu umfangreich ist die Verpackung. An sich ist ja ein Pappkiste recht gut und weitgehend (über die bunte Beschichtung kann ich das nicht sagen) plastikfrei. Aber in dieser sind die Schnellspanner in entsprechenden Aussparungen in einem festen Schaumstoffblock eingebracht sind. Das ist etwas viel (Kunststoff-)Material für ein Produkt, das man meist kauft, um es gleich zu verbauen und die Packung anschließend einfach entsorgt. Zudem ist die Herausnahme der Schnellspanner aus diesem Schaumstofffutter ziemlich fummelig.Trotzdem machen die Schnellspanner einen guten und stabilen Eindruck. Sie liegen auch leicht in der Hand. Beide zusammen wiegen laut meiner Küchenwaage 69 g.Durch das Schraubsystem ist die Montage zwar ungewohnt, weil man sie fest andrehen muss, was man bei dem Schnellspannersystem mit Kipphebeln zum Verschließen nicht hat, dafür entfällt das Loshebeln von fest angedrückten Spannern. Zudem kann man durch eine federbelastete Hubfunktion den festgezogenen Spannhebel nachher noch in acht verschiedenen Stellungen (rastend) nach Wunsch positionieren.Das System hat aber auch eine unangenehmen Nebeneffekt: zum Abstellen eignet sich das entsprechend ausgerüstete Rad nun noch weniger, weil man die leicht lösbaren Räder nun separat absichern muss.Ein Schnellspannerset zu dem Preis montiert man aber meist auch nicht am Alltagsrad. Da ich nicht auf der Jagd nach dem letzten Gramm Gewicht bin, erscheinen mir aber knapp 40 Euro für ein Paar Schnellspanner tatsächlich eher teuer.Etwas kurios finde ich auch den Hinweis auf der Produktseite (nur dort, auf der Anleitung fehlt dieser Hinweis), man möge das vorgegebene Drehmoment nicht überschreiten. Selbst wenn - was mir bisher nicht auffiel - an einem meiner Räder so etwas angegeben wäre, fiele es sehr schwer, den Drehmomentschlüssel an einem der Enden der Spanner anzusetzen, weil ein kompatibles Werkzeug fehlt.Fazit: (noch) fünf SterneDen Preis mag ich nicht überbewerten, weiß ich doch, dass gerade besonders leichte Fahrradteile gern zu abstrusen Preisen angeboten werden. Für die von mir als gut empfundene Qualität und das innovative Verschlusssystem vergebe deshalb hier noch fünf Sterne; die Teile sind durchaus kauf- und nutzbar.
