Update to review:My first charger had a problem and died shortly after switching on. I returned it and thought I was done, but the seller reached out and offered a replacement. The new replacement has been working great - I do like that it's solid (the cables feel very high quality and are very solid) and that it's portable. I added a hanging bar/socket to the wall and picked up a 6-50 to 14-50 outlet adapter (so I can plug into either a RV output or a more traditional EV charger outlet when on the road).I get the full 32amps my 2019 Bolt can handle. New charger has been in use for about 20 hours of active charging now with no issues at all.I am impressed with the unit and with the seller for proactively reaching out and making things right!! You can't help the occasional DOA unit (it happens), but how the seller handles those rare cases is the mark of a professional and solid seller.

This charger is working great and has an awesome display with more information than my other L2 charger. The long cord and weather rating helps out a lot. I just plugged this into our 50 amp RV socket, which also means it can easily be taken on the road. I obviously have the "upgraded" version because the temperature is Fahrenheit (see photo) and the cable is long (but I haven't measured it). Update: I live in Arizona and this is used outside my garage. When it gets direct sunlight it overheats and stops charging. A shade cover to block direct sun works perfectly to stop the overheating.

Purchased 2 years ago but only recently started to use this charger as a portable charger to take to my weekend cabin. But stayed at my cabin for 7 months using this cable daily/weekly.. Started out wonderful and then one day it doesn't want to charge continuously and turns on and off or sometimes just not charging at all. Product looks fine but isn't working any more. Go ahead and buy this product if you only want to use it for 7 months then have to toss it In the trash.

I've had this charger for little over a month now. I used it for my '17 Chevy Volt and I loved the vastly improved charge time. Unfortunately, the last 3 days, it has been showing "FAULT" on its screen. Then 2 days the screen was just a garbled mess. When I unplugged it and plugged it back in, it just continually showed "FAULT" and a temperature of 248 degrees Fahrenheit. On top of that, despite it being unplugged from my car, it's still showing it's drawing electricity which seems... dangerous. I will definitely be contacting Morec's customer support and hopefully I can get this all sorted and fixed.I will update my review after seeing how customer service handles this.8/25/2019:I contacted Morec's customer service on the 21st of August. In a few hours I heard back from a Morec customer service rep. They wanted the standard stuff: A photo or a video the issue, ask if I'd tried certain things, how long it'd been plugged in for, etc., all pretty painless and easy, really. In approximately 48 hours I was informed a new charger had been shipped and would arrive in 2 days! Only 4 days from the time I initially emailed their customer service to the day I had the new charger in my hands. I must say I am quite happy with my experience with their customer service and extremely pleased to have a replacement shipped to me so quickly!9/1/2019:I am going to update my review to 5 stars simply because I am so pleased with their customer service! When I mailed back my broken charger they asked for a picture of the receipt. On September 1st they had reimbursed me return shipping cost as well! So at the end of the day for the price this product is a great choice at a good price and if you have any issues (and hopefully you don't) their customer service is there to make sure things go as quickly and easily as possible!

Waited six months before I reviewed since I wanted to understand how things worked better. This is used for my first electric car.So far, it's been spectacular! Didn't realize how helpful the screen on this unit is. Most importantly, it tells you the car is/is not charging, and generally why. It's also helpful to know how many amps are being used when charging.I was worried about the charger over-heating since my 120v level one charger did get warm. Hasn't happened...For me, the cord length hasn't been an issue, although I do have an extender just in case.Another reason I went with this portable version is in case I travel to areas with no available fast-chargers (DCFC, CCS), this can always be used at a campsite with a 240 NEMA14-50 hookup. Same plug as a dryer. With COVID, hasn't happened yet but nice to have peace of mind.

Initial quality was good and product worked as expected for just over 12 months. I only drove 6200 miles in the 12 months period so I did not need to charge often. Now when I plug in the charger in the car will begin charging but then it will stop charging after 30 minutes or so. The charge handle is very warm when this happens. The charger just says "waiting for car signal". This problem does not happen when I use other chargers so I'm sure the Morec charger was the cause.
