The mounting bolt circle diameter does not match the mounting of my yardman pushmower.However, the small parts inside do match, so it was like a rebuild kit for my OE recoil.The description of compatibility is a bit lacking, but I could tell the parts I needed would fit from the photos, and the low price is an acceptable gamble.

Like others have said, it fit my Cub Cadet nicely. But like RJ noted, the pull cord is too short to start the mower when standing at the handle. When the cord is attached through the loop on the handle , there's only about two feet of travel for the pull cord. Also, the pull handle is hard plastic and not rubberized like the original. It broke on the second pull and cut my finger.

The assembly fit perfectly and the installation was quick. I have used the mower several times since I installed the pull starter assembly and it is working flawlessly.

Perfect bolt on replacement for older cub cadet push mower. Fit and finish like OEM quality. I would recommend this instead of rewinding new cord due to difficulty of finding right diameter and length.

Super easy to install. Worked great for the first dozen lawnmower starts, and then the bolt which holds it all together loosened, and the whole thing fell apart inside the housing. I removed it, only to have the spring completely unwind making the complete assembly useless. Poor construction and/or quality control.

Bolted right up to my Cub Cadet mower with no problem. Great replacement for my old worn out pull start. Mower fires up on the first pull and the cord fully retracts nice and quickly again. Much cheaper than the "official" replacement part yet works great.

Mine broke in the middle of mowing the lawn. I went on Amazon, within day it arrived. Installed quickly, easy 3 nuts. I was mowing in no time.

This was easy to put in to my lawnmower. Made me happy that I was able to mow again.
