I've had 4 types of RSI vertical mouse and this is the best
I've tried 4 different RSI mouse, some of them over £100 and this is the best. Your hand sits naturally on top rather than completely vertical and because the mouse is made from a sticky rubber, your hand sticks to it so it sits there all day using no muscles to grip... fantastic. Some of the other vertical ones in this price range, are shiny so you use muscles to maintain the grip. The buttons are placed so you don't have to stretch. I'm an accountant and use a mouse for 10 hours a day and it's accurate enough. It needs small movements so you don't use your shoulder too much. The pain at the joint of my write and the back of my hand has gone. The action to use it, is very simple so I find that guests who pop down to use my computer aren't troubled by using this mouse.

great if you suffer from RSI
I'm a university student who spends long hours at a computer doing work. I also suffer from severe RSI (repetitive Strain Injury). Because of this a normal computer mouse can be very uncomfortable to hold for long periods and can severely aggravate my RSI whilst working. I bought this to try and reduce the discomfort and pain and it definitely works. My hand is a lot more comfortable whilst holding the mouse and the discomfort is almost eliminated. Not to mention that the constant flow of colour that goes through the mouse looks really cool.I do have one problem with the mouse but this is due to my own body. I have rather large hands and at times it means that I press the page up and down buttons when I don't mean to, these are located where your thumb goes, My fingers also hang off the front of the mouse which makes it difficult to use the scroller, these little things can get really annoying at times so I do not recommend buying if you have large hands. Also this is NOT a gaming mouse.

Fairly good though slightly small for me
I bought this mouse for my MacBook Air (mid-2013).On the whole, it's pretty good. It feels solid and I can get a good grip. It comes with a detachable plate to wrest the end of your hand on. It seems to move well (at least across my wooden desktop). The scroll wheel has a click feel rather than a smooth feel, which I prefer. The only slightly annoying thing for me is that it is a fraction too small for my hand. It's not so small that I want to send it back but it would have been nicer to have a slightly larger version. To give people some idea, my hand is 9cm wide (measured across the back of my hand). Forefinger and middle finger are 8cm and 8.7cm respectively. I found that with that finger length my fingers extended beyond the end of the mouse buttons if I was gripping the mouse tightly. This doesn't prevent the mouse from being usable as far as I'm concerned but for those who like fingertip control of their mouse buttons, it may be an issue.I found that my thumb settled quite nicely between the back and forward buttons on the side of the mouse (my thumb is 2.4cm wide) but that's not really a great issue for me as those two buttons don't work on a Mac.The DPI button on the top of the mouse gives you 3 levels of sensitivity. Just use trial and error until you find the level that works for you. It's another minor annoyance that there is no visual indication of what the DPI is.Overall I'm happy with it and I'll keep it

Helps a little but inadequate design
Like everyone looking at vertical mice I was seeking a solution to the wrist strain I was beginning to get with my regular computer mouse. This vertical mouse feels quite natural to use once you have got used to it, which doesn't take long. The tracking and accuracy is good and the buttons are perfectly usable. My problem with this mouse is that the base of my hand is now in contact with the desk/mousemat surface. The constant scuffing is actually giving me a callus over the little nub of bone on the outside of the hand, very near the wrist, and this is becoming quite sore. It is not possible for me to grasp the mouse and keep the hand off the desk, to do so would require a constant tight grip... which would be very tiring. The mouse does come with a small rest that you can clip onto the mouse but it's in the wrong place. Even if I contort my hand to rest on it my hand still slides off.So what about the wrist pain? That's a bit better for me, using this mouse, but not quite the great solution I was hoping for. I have exchanged an RSI-like wrist/forearm pain for a sore callus and an altogether different pain that has moved up my arm to my elbow. I am soldiering on for now, alternating between a regular mouse and this vertical mouse as they use slightly different muscles. All in all the results are a little disappointing but, to be fair, there has been a little improvement in comfort overall. Worth a try but don't expect miracles.

So pleased I found this product - now I can use a mouse again
This mouse has definitely improved the repetitive strain problems I was having in my arm. I was getting to the stage that I could only use my old, normal mouse for about 20 minutes before my arm became very painful. Now I can work for a couple of hours, although I do still get some discomfort. As a product I would say it is probably about as good as you could expect it to be, but as a cure for the pain of using a mouse it works only about 70%.Quality wise it seems good, although one of the mouse buttons seems occasionally to get stuck. It could be that I am just pressing it at a funny angle, maybe.

Good for CTS but
Some Other reviewers said this was "small in hand"? I,m 6ft and broad and work with my hands which are large by most standards etc, but i find this a bit big and clumsy, but is helping with hand strain and carpel tunnel etc, however i find myself switching back to my "normal mouse" for gaming, as this is clumsy and hopeless for most types of gaming etc due to its big clumsy size. but good in all other respects, it lights up blue too

Boys and their toys!
Joystick device with the emphasis on joy! Sat at my desk (Millennium Falcon) zapping every button on the screen! For me I find the device very ergonomic and it reduces strain and fatigue in my wrist and arm. Taking hold of the device is effortless, like taking hold of a glass or bottle, and I have never heard anyone complain of RSI in the pub!!? Well that's enough from me, back to my battle station, someone has to fight the Empire!!
