great for fly cutters
I put just one into a fly cutter and they work great. The insert holds up fairly well the steel, not super long on stainless steel, but if you spin fast it'll leave a mirror finish on aluminum. I feel I got a product well worth to price and are stout enough for my intended use. I would recommend and would buy again

Great value for the hobbyist
These tools have worked well on my mini lathe for cutting brass and aluminum. I’ve done a little bit of work on steel with them as well. I just do hobby work, so a professional might find them lacking in some way. But I would recommend them as a good product at a great value.

Flawed but good.
Several reviews mentioned stuck screws but I bought the 5/16” size. I used the include wrench to try to remove one of the screws and the bit broke off in the screw immediately. I tried another bit and it too broke off. I thought they were going to be single use only. But then I took them to the mill and drilled through the center of the screws with a 1/16” bit. It leaves enough head to turn out the screw and not damage the holder thread. Then clean out the threads and use the replacement screws. Note to seller: DO NOT INSTALL THE INSERTS!!! Just put all screws and inserts in a baggie and ship! All that said, they work fine now. Good luck.

Clean before first use!
After reading about a few reviewers snapping the tiny screws, the first thing I did when I received them just now is check the screws right out of the box before even using one. All 5 came loose without force. Since they are tiny, don't force them, wiggle the wrench a bit and the screw will break loose easily. However, if you do not clean the shipping film off, and use them as is, the screw will bond from the heat produced from cutting making them very difficult to remove when you need to, so take them apart and clean then well, especially the threads before using.I have not used them yet, but just based on the insert, I can tell they will cut very well, and look to be well made. I will update if I find they don't cut as expected.

Worth the money
Fit my old lathe perfect, so far work as expected for a small cutting tool.

Excellent value
Cuts well on my Grizzly G0765 (7x14) mini lathe. I almost dinged 1 star because mine showed up missing the Torx drivers, but I had the right (very small - T8, IIRC) driver bit already so no big loss.Out of the box they all need a 0.024" shim to cut on center with the stock tool post, but I since upgraded to a quick change tool post from Little Machine Shop so no more need of the shims.I've taken up to a 0.025" depth of cut in mild steel and 6061 aluminum for threading and got a clean finish (using Tap Magic and WD-40 as cutting fluid, respectively). These are very small insert bits, though, so don't go trying to hog material out.

Disappointed. They cut nice, but it is impossible to change cutters.
I picked these up to use on my little Unimat. Turning mild steel was a breeze. It produced nice long curls of chips, much nicer than my other cutters. Eventually I dulled the edge; no problem, I'll just rotate the cutter. I used the supplied T6 driver to loosen he screw and SNAP! The tip of the driver broke off in the screw head. Its too small for any of my broken screw extractors to fit, so that tool is now junked. I had some T6 driver bits, so I decided to try and loosen one of the other screws. Well, the bit didn't break, but it did twist like spaghetti. The screw didn't move. Now I thought maybe these screws have a reverse thread. I grabbed another T6, turned the opposite direction, and same result: A mangled bit and a screw that won't budge. So I have no way to replace any dulled cutters. I guess these are great until they loose an edge, once that happens I will just have to trash them.

Screws strip!
While the bits cut well the "removable" screw that holds them on strips incredibly easy so once you chip the carbide or dull it the entire piece is trash.
