I found this dress to be perfect for a trip to Munich, Germany for the celebration of Oktoberfest. I only wore it once, yet was so happy for the price when I saw that authentic dresses are hand sewn, exquisite fabrics, and more in the range of $350 to $1000. If you do wear it, the locals will know you are not from there. They wear them to weddings and funerals. Almost every celebration as the Germans and Austrians are proud of their heritage which is well earned. This dress is more like an inexpensive costume. You still need a blouse to go underneath and lederhosen for your legs. Finally, wear the right shoes. You will glad you did.

Great price for a great dress. (Cheaper than buying it in Germany, as it turned out.)

The dirndl is very well made. I think it runs on the small side so I would advise sizing up. I had to alter the bodice was able to do so easily because it was made to be altered. Highly recommend the dress.

This dress is beautiful and made out of nice heavy fabric. I wore it to Oktoberfest in both Oregon and Germany. I did my research so that I wouldn't look like a tourist in Germany and ended up blending right in with everyone else. My only complaint is that I had to have it altered as I have a short torso and the shoulders of the dress stuck up about 2 inches above my shoulders, but the extra money spent was worth it.

First, let me say this isn't a costume, this is a dress. It is nicely tailored and a heavy weight fabric. It costs far less than any of the dirndl's I saw in Munich (1/5th of the price).This dress does not come with the blouse or hose. You will need dirndl socks and blouse to complete the look. While the lace is very nice, I preferred the satin aprons I saw at Oktoberfest. If I go back, I may switch out the apron. Also note, this must be a popular dress as I saw quite a few other women wearing the same one or one of a different color. It's all about the accessories if you want to stand out in the crowd.

This Dirndl is absolutely beautiful!!...way more stunning in person. The fabric is thick, high quality, and has a nice sheen to it. It fits as described. Very comfortable. Has a pocket. I've been to Germany and this one is exactly like the ones sold in Munich at the Oktoberfest! Must buy if you are looking for a dirndl.

Dress is absolutely beautiful but runs very small. I'm typically a size 2-4 and ordered the 4 but was unable to zip over my chest. Had to return.
