Primrose Garden Outdoor Fibreglass Trough Planter in Matte Black Medium 40cm x 80cm (15.7in x 31.5in)

I was intending to buy the smaller version to compliment the one I purchased. When I removed the packaging however I found several chips on one of the corners. No doubt I will be able to repair these but feel I shouldn't really have to. Apart from that it is a lovely addition to my garden, hence the high score even though damaged.

This planter is lightweight (before you fill it with compost of course), requires no maintenance or protection and looks really smart in a contemporary garden. I have had mine for about a year and they have been outside the whole time and still look as new. It is fairly narrow so if you need it for a balcony or a smallish area of decking, it shouldn't take up too much space. If you want them to edge a large expanse of decking, I would go for a larger size as this size would get "lost".If you want them for outside, you will need to drill drainage holes in the bottom as they don't have any when they arrive. I used the largest drill bit I had (about 1.5cm ish diameter) and made eight holes in the bottom of each container. If you drill holes in the fibreglass, you may want to work on a sheet of plastic or cardboard so you are not left with nasty shards of fibreglass everywhere.I use mine - I have several of them, for growing salad crops - lettuce, rocket,  Tomato Tumbling Tom Red - 10 Seeds  as well as flowers and it works really well. Three tomato plants per container is probably about right, I squeezed about 5 in and they didn't really have enough room.

Cracks appeared in these, supplier reimbursed me 50% of cost.

Good product and as described. Surprised that there was no holes pre drilled for drainage but a simple enough job to put some in.
