This thing actually works! I had seen this being advertised and figured I would try it as I’m redoing a closet and the “knock and hope” method isn’t the best. I immediately tried it out and this thing is so easy to use. When it hits a stud the magnet in it helps it stick to the wall so you can find your spot after looking away to grab a pencil or a nail! I’ve had two other stud finders and they’ve both ended up in the trash, but this one actually works! It’s a keeper!

Works great when you’re trying to find the stud! It is the value for the money because you can see where the stud is compared to a device telling you! Also it’s durable I had mine 4 years still looks brand new. I ordered another one because I had to hang a hay rack and wanted to see the width of it!

This is too easy and 100% accurate. No looking for batteries, holding down buttons while you watch a meter jump around and beep randomly. This uses the ultra-simple principle that drywall is anchored with either screws or nails, both of which are metallic, then covered with joint compound. As long as the fastener is in a stud, this will detect it with its super strong magnet. Once you find the fastener, it stays in place. No need to mark with a pencil. Great product and I couldn't be more satisfied. What could be more accurate than finding the original fastener in the wall?
