Duracell Plus MN1203 Alkaline 4.5 V Battery (discontinued by manufacturer)

I needed this battery for a head torch, which had had the same make of battery in it for many years - way past its use by date. It eventually ran out, but I could not get a replacement locally. Thank goodness for Amazon and the suppliers who came up with the goods. It arrived very quickly and should last me a while. I have noticed that it is discontinued by the manufacturer so this might be the last time I'll get a replacement. Anybody out there who has use of a similar battery might be advised to get a spare one now, or have to purchase a new torch using a different type of battery.

I needed two of these rather old-fashioned batteries to power my 1950s bell chime doorbell.The battery compartment on this ancient doorbell is a very tight fit and some (especially the cheap Chinese brands) of this type of battery just wont fit.These fitted perfectly and the bell is once again chiming away happily. I wonder how many of today's electrical items will still be working in 60+ years time and if the batteries for them will still be available?A great price and fast delivery too!Highly recommended.

I was delighted to find this model of battery was on sale again as I had given up all hope of ever obtaining one. I use it for a very old Stanley Gibbons stamp watermark detector. No other battery would fit.As regards the battery I received, it is well in date 2018. I always pay out more for Duracell because I find any other make false economy.

I buy this regulary for an old head torch. Luckily they still supply them here, as this kind of battery is getting rare in the shops. Very long lasting even with older torch.

What can I say, its a battery.......How long will it last, who knows.....It was for my mother in laws old fashioned hand torch, she is happy with it.
