Velocity Leather Portfolio for Cruz Reader and Cruz Tablet - Official Accessory

I ordered this case for my Velocity Micro Cruz T301 Tablet on February 13, 2012 and I am happy to say that it arrived fairly quickly on February 17, 2012! That's only four days! So major kudos for the shipping folks! First a little note about the price. I absolutely love that this is the official Velocity Micro Cruz leather case. It even has the name Velocity Cruz on the front. I've seen the different colored Cruz case knock-offs and you can tell that they are knock-offs because it says some other company's name on the front. The price of the knock-offs are all fairly cheap as to be expected. The official Velocity Micro Cruz leather case is sold on their website for almost $50.00 but here you can get it for around $25.00 with tax and maybe a little more for shipping unless you can get a free shipping deal. That's an awesome price jump that made my day since I've been wanting the official Cruz case ever since I first got my Tablet.Now, as to how the product holds up to it's online descriptions I'd say extremely well, if not better! The inside has a soft, almost velvety texture and there's one long folder-like pocket for paper or whatever, two medium-sized slots for business cards, etc and two small slots that would fit a stylus or two. On the side that holds the device there is a hard, square-shaped pocket or shelf that the device rests inside and the elastic bands across the top corners holds it gently but securely in place. I can still access all the side ports and the speakers while the the device is in the case and the case is closed. The only thing that bothers me just a little bit is that the elastic bands, one of them, rubs a little bit against the volume rocker but it only happens when I am first putting my Tablet in the case so that's probably just my fault.I have taken some photos of the case since I've noticed that there are none on Amazon showing the inside with the device in it and when it's empty and I will be posting them up right after I finish with this review and am using my desktop computer. Right now I am writing this review on my iPod Touch and I can't upload the pictures from it to Amazon.Anyway, in closing I would highly recommend this product to people with the Velocity Micro Cruz T301 Tablet or the R101 Reader series.

Velocity Leather Portfolio for Cruz Reader and Cruz Tablet - Official Accessory  This well made leather case was designed for the Cruz Reader and fits it well. The price is not cheap, but the quality is very nice. The closing strap that may be inserted into place on the front of the portfolio is an adequate closure as long as you carry the portfolio as you would a book. The Cruz Reader is held in place in the case/portfolio by a formed leather holder along the bottom which extends up each side about two inches following the outline of the bottom part of the screen. The bottom of the holder has a convenient opening which gives outlet to the Cruz Reader's speakers and gives access to the places to plug in the earphones and the power cord, so the reader does not have to be removed from the case for recharging. The top of the reader is held in place by elastic ribbons at each corner which are faced with leather pieces where they cross diagonally over the top corners of the reader. The case provides good protection for the body and screen of the Cruz Reader, and provides a neat-looking way to carry it.

After getting my T301 I had to have the original Portfolio from Velocity. I like the products made for the exact Item I am using it for. I did pay a little more than I expected but the Portfolio is amazing. Feels like real leather and the quality is amazing. I know that paying over half what I paid for the Tablet itself seams overboard but this little bundle will make a very nice gift for my Brother. I say if you have a tablet and want a very nice case buy this one.

Unfortunately, this product is not correctly identified. Somewhere in the text of the description it should say "NOT for T103". This portfolio is for T301 or the Cruz Reader. I purchased it for my T103 only to discover that it wouldn't fit. So, be careful to make sure which Cruz you have. The cover is great, good quality, closes nicely and looks good. I purchased it for use with my new Cruz t408--despite what the description says it is a little small for the t408 which has an 8 inch screen so is a little larger than the other Cruz readers. If you are looking for a cover for the t408 realize this will be just a little small, I am still using it but about an inch of my tablet extends beyond the cover.

While this was a nice cover portfolio and the shipping was prompt, it does not fit the t408 (8in) tablet as stated. This case is to small. Awaiting instructions from seller on how to return for a refund. The packaging states it will fit the T301, R101, PS127 and PS47 models.

seller described item as fitting all cruz devices. the tablet cover would not fit my cruz. the leather tablet cover was a very nice product made for cruz tablets, but it said in 1" letters on the packaging that it fit four specific cruz devices. not all devices. i received a full refund, but it still cost me over $5.00 for return postage, plus my time.

Doesnt work well to surf the internet . It is too slow. Slow to turn and find books already downloaded
