Thomas Kinkade Holidays in Motion Rotating Illuminated Tree Topper Animated Christmas Decor by The Bradford Editions

It is small and hard to see from the floor on my 9’ tree but it is beautiful. I have 18’ ceilings in the living room and the tree is in the corner next to the open stairway so the star is eye level from the landing. The detail on each of the reigndeer is really nice but hard to see from the ground level. With that said regardless of not being able to see all the fine details at the top of my tall tree it still looks awesome up there and is definitely a talking point when guests come over. Having it spin around the tree is just not something everyone has seen before. I love it. They love it. It really is a great piece. As for the comments about the noise, I can hear it when there is nothing else on in the house but with people talking, tv or music in the background or even the sound of the house settling I can not hear it at all or it is very minimal and not at all bothersome.

I'm happy that it is MUCH SMALLER than the picture, it's actually is a very appropriate size for a 8 foot tree, anything bigger might look funny. It seems to stay on for 3 hours or so every night before it turns itself off " must be on a timer". Although it's small, it is very cute while it's on. If you buy this put the switch in an accessible place to turn it on when it turns off . I wish it were less expensive how ever it did bring many smiles to all that saw it. Wow we have had this since 2012 and it’s been great, it squeaks a little now but honestly it’s the best tree topper I’ve ever had and I’m 68 yrs. We love it.

This product is depicted incorrectly in the photos. Santa and his sleigh are much smaller than shown. Also, the star is very dimly lit, so it’s not much of a focal point on top of an ornamented tree. That’s not as big of a deal as the fact that after 2 days and running it for maybe a total of 5-6 hours my just stopped working altogether. I paid $99 for this tree topper. I have dealt with Bradford exchange in two other occasions purchasing a necklace and a ring. Both times I was very disappointed as both items were much less “shiny and ornamental” than what was depicted in the photo advertisement. After wearing both for a month or two they shown major signs of ware and I could no longer wear them. Maybe I wore them 10 times total as I do not wear jewelry often. I would not advise anyone to purchase from this company unless you don’t want to get your hard earned dollars worth. Customers should be taken care of and treated like an investment. Not duped into buying cheap crap so a company can get rich or drive profits.

It is small how it look on this tree the image of the topper it's about that small. Don't compare it to the tree, because this background does make it look bigger but the image of the topper is fairly accurately. The star ornament is a lot bigger but when your looking up and you are looking at different angels then it make sense. I think this is the best topper I've ever had. It is on a timer so it does stop spinning after so many hours and then you have to turn it back on. Alot of my family and friends like it, my father in law I think actually was thinking about getting himself one. It looks awesome on the tree, watch the reindeers circle around the tree with the sleigh . It made my home feel like Christmas . If you want something different and unique for your Christmas. I suggest this topper

I am so glad I didn't listen to alot of the reviews before buying and decided to take a chance because if I wasn't satisfied I could always return it. Well I love it and I mean love it. Didn't have any issues at all. I think the size is perfect for my 8ft tree. Plus I think it would of looked funny if the Santa and reindeer was any bigger because it would hide the glowing star.

Very pretty and light, but MAN is it small!!! I was worried about it being too big but it's significantly smaller than it looks in the picture. The arm isn't long enough for it to circle as shown in the picture, so it's kinda just hanging around at the top of the thing. It's pretty and works for what we need but I would not buy again or recommend. Really sad considering my family loves Kinkaid especially. Also, the plastic power pack isn't good - had to mess with it to get it to work, and if I move it from the branch it's tetering on it won't work. Going to keep just because it's the only thing I found that I actually liked, but feel like I paid more than double than I should have.

For the past three years I've been looking for just the right tree topper for my "Santa" themed tree. I currently have your typical Santa that sits on top that doesn't light up. Imagine my delight when I found this topper a couple of years ago, but the price back then at $110 (not including tax or shipping) was too much for me. The following year, I looked at it again, but couldn't find it in stock anywhere. This year, I searched again, and found it for about $70 ($90 including tax and shipping). I just received it today. Is it a quality piece? I'll break it down...because I don't feel the other reviewer knew what they were doing when they tried to get it to work. In fact, I'm not sure they read the instructions at all as you do not put any part of the tree into any holes.... The star is supported by a long metal rod that is meant to be secured to the tree via zip ties. They provide a decent amount of ties for this, and as well supply additional rods for extra support down the tree trunk. I do not see any issues with stability with any type of tree either fake or real. If you secure it correctly, it will rotate perfectly fine. The star is really pretty with a nice golden hued glow. It is a frosted look versus the stained glass look in the picture. It is made of plastic, but again looks nice. The Santa and his Reindeer are smaller than I thought they would be, however they are cute. This piece is plastic as well, and not as refined looking as depicted online, however it is still a decent looking Santa and reindeer. Honestly even if you don't like Thomas Kinkade (who I can pretty much take or leave) This is still a neat item, because once you get it up 7 feet to the top of a tree, you cannot see the pictures of his artwork on the reindeer saddles at all. The unit does not make any noise that I can tell. The packaging should be kept because it is a really nice storage protector for the top. Now after all that, you put it all together, put it atop the tree and I have to say it's really cool. It's completely unique and combines both a star and my Santa theme. This top has already been a conversation piece at work and is sure to be the same during the holidays.

I love this tree topper. I'll try to address some of the negative reviews here. I see many complaints about the size, I think they're unfounded - if it was bigger I think it'd look cheesy. The star is about average size with Santa and his team measuring about 2" tall and 11" long. The size makes it subtle yet unique. Santa orbits the star not the tree. Keep this in mind when reading the reviews that complain that Santa doesn't light up. I believe the intent is that it creates a silhouette look in low light situations. This is much like you might see in old children's books when they show Santa flying past the moon or a Christmas Star. Installation should work well with a real tree, a fake tree, a big tree or a little tree. The Star does not slide on top of the tree like a traditional one would. Instead the star sits atop a rod that runs along the trunk of the tree. The rod is attached to the tree using common zip ties (included are several years worth of zip ties). If you had an exceptionally large trunk you can easily connect two zip ties together to increase the length. You might also want to note that Santa and his reindeer due appear to be delicate and are not intended to be handled by children.

What I got was slightly different. The first picture is what I ordered, the second picture is what I got. The first picture has a bigger Santa, with better detail, and the reindeers has better colour. It’s still good what I got, but for the price, I was expecting the first picture.

Received and it’s briken. It doesn’t work. The battery area does not have the metal part for the battery to attach to, therefor there is no electricity and the whole thing doesn’t work. Incredibly disappointed. I’ve reached out to the seller (I’ve take pictures) - be interesting to see how they respond/handle the situation. I will update ...

Its pretty but way smaller then I thought. I didn't put it on my tree this year, as I already had my tree decorated when it arrived. but I think it's going to look really small on my tree.
