Best Solution for Landscape Travel Photography!
My normal rigging is using an Acratech head on a carbon fiber Manfrotto tripod with my Canon equipment, but I needed to significantly downsize my equipment and packing for a trip to New Zealand (need much smaller head mount and smaller tripod). I came across the Aihontai Head Mound that I am combining with the Fujifilm XT-20 Mirrorless camera with the CamRebel Hand Grip which now allows me the quick setup for both panoramic and portrait views. This mount fits on a much smaller Manfrotto travel tripod I purchased, which has the ball-head and face plate required. The size and weight together is less than half! The Aihontai Panoramic Head allows me the smooth transition for panoramic photos (especially for long exposures), and it even has 360 degree markings if you need the accuracy. There is also a mounting plate for directly on the camera if needed (I am using the CamRebel Hand Grip which has the same size plate mounts). Very affordable, I would definitely recommend for travel!

Lock knob is too big to fit!
The lock knob's circumference is larger than the bottom of the unit. So, if you're mounting this on anything larger that the circumference of the unit, the lock knob is going to rub and you won't be able to turn it. Bad design flaw!!If you're mounting this on something with the same circumference as the unit, it seems like a nice piece of kit. I had to return mine sadly.

Good for panning
Purchased to use with laser level so it could be mounted on a tripod. Did the job.I also use this for my video camera setup. I have a specialized setup where the camera is connected to a sliding track. The panning connection on the video head loosened up and made the camera unstable. Using this item allowed for a good connection that does not come loose.

Too bad for 360 Photography
unfortunately it has a very poor design about use of product, in some point, if you are using a 12mm or less, in a 360° Photography, you will have in your photo a piece of this accessory

Not a good product
First thing is as in many other reviews, the locking knob is too big and is contacting the ball head clam, so I cannot lock/unlock the panning motion once it is mounted on a ball head.It is also really hard to rotate when fully unlocked. It is smooth but very very stiff and wobbly.
