CardioChek Cholesterol Testing Starter Kit

I rated accuracy at 4 only because you need to follow the instructions to the letter. When I tried to put my blood samples on the three strips ahead of time, then run them through the analyzer, my results came out higher than they should have been. But with three strips for each test, I re-ran one of them putting the strip in first, then dropping blood on it until it said it was running the test, and then got the results more like I expected. Word to the wise, follow the instructions.

I have used this product in the past. I was little concerned this time though about the Triglycerides test. I compared that and the Total and HDL cholesterol results with the recent results from VA lab tests. Only the Triglyceride test was significantly different, i.e., lower. The other two were spot on. But based upon my past experience I am tending to credit the Home Test result.

This is so much more economical and time-efficient...and less invasive than heading to the lab for ump-teen million tubes of blood to be taken from your arm and then waiting days until the doctor calls and has you come in for a visit to discuss. The cardiocheck is inexpensive and takes only a few minutes at home. The machine (sold seperately) came with formulas to figure out your LDL, in two formats. Just takes one drop of blood from your finger for each test.

These kits do work, but don’t expect it to be lab accurate! Definitely too expensive for what they are, and pay attention to the expiration, tey won’t work if they expire!

I have not been able to check my results with CardioChek against the lab, but the results I get are consistent with each other. I will be getting my blood checked by a lab in another month. I can't wait to see how their results compare. I do appreciate the quick shipping. And I appreciate the customer service as my first instrument was defective. A new device was sent out right away. It was easy to send the defective one back. I even got an email which verified what was wrong with my original device. I am impressed with this company.

It is easy to use. It takes a lot more blood than a drop for a blood sugar test. To do the three tests you have to fill three pipet of blood. If you're good, you can get all three with only lancing your self once. Sometimes it dries up and I have to lance myself a second time. The accuracy is close but not the same as blood work at the doctor's office.

I have used this product for several years and find that the company is upstanding and they stand by the product. My insurance policy covers cholesterol testing once a year but I like to retest quarterly and this product allows me to do that for a reasonable price. I continue to use these test strips and find that they are very accurate when compared with my doctor's laboratory testing.

Orederd product on 9/26/2021. I shipped on 9/27/2021 and arrived on 9/29/2021. The expiration date on all 3 boxes is 11/09/2021. Good price, good service and most importantly good expiration date.
