Sturdy but has problems
First off, I read the reviews so I knew I was going to have to put some effort into this. The instructions really are terrible so it takes a bit of effort. The construction feels sturdy but it is a little off on alignment. On top of that the pegs on the mount that are meant to keep it away from your frame made it too wide for my bike so I had to reverse them to face out. Lastly the long screws for mounting to the frame didnt work for me so I had ro buy some new screws from home depot. They are just a standard m5 and then choose the correct length.

Please add an Instructional brochure with this item for installation!!!!!
The only real criticism I have with this product was that it did not include an instructional document for the installation! I have to take a star off. If you look closely at the pictures here on Amazon, you can figure it out (it isn't rocket science). I do like that it is built well. It is exactly what I wanted for my new ride. Also, the price is simply the best deal I could find. I added a Pannier bag and some tools, mini- air pump, patch kit and a snack... was on my way! It's a good buy and does what it's suppose to do.

Don't buy.
Update 5/4/19: Lowered my review since It didn't make it quite one year before failing on me. The lower left mount snapped off at the weld point and also sheared off the bolt inside my bike so that was huge pain to get out. That added with the amount of difficulty required to assemble and install this mount makes it definitely not worth it. Do yourself a favor and spend a few more dollars for a higher quality rack. There's a reason this one is under $20.It's completely functional but I did have some issues. The assembly instructions aren't super clear and I had to refer to the pictures on the amazon listing for the product Other than that, I would have preferred it to be in one piece but I understand that part of the reason this rack is so inexpensive is because it's in pieces rather than being manufactured whole. So far, it's been working well for me and I think it's a solid product for a bicycle with disc brakes.

Be ready to improvise.
As other posts stated, the instructions are basically non-existent. I managed to get it on my bike but had to bend the two aluminum rods in a vice to get them around my rear brake. If you don't want to mess with improvising you might want to buy a different rack. It seems to be adequate for what I need. Just OK.

One defected screw ruined the whole installation
Defected long screw. No way to screw it with the driver. See the comparison of the normal and defected.

and should have been easily fixed by the producers of this product
This product is not compatible to my Populo Road Bike. The long screw attaching the rack to the gear side of the bike is almost touching the lowest gear. I had to use 5-6 washers at the opposite end of the screw so that it did not touch the gears. This is surprising, and should have been easily fixed by the producers of this product.

Three Stars
Was unable to complete installation, one of the mounting bolts sheared off in my frame with minimal effort.

I like it Moe.
I like it Moe. Everything was drilled correctly. Holds my pannies away from the tire like it had aughta. My bike looks sexy wearing pannies. It leaves something for the imagination.
