No, Not really. As a bb gun, it makes more a of spring hitting plastic noise. Inside a house you might notice it more than anything else, but not outside. If you are going for something loud to scare away animals this is not it.

The 1911 BB gun does is not intended for use with pellets; use 4.5mm steel BBs only in this airgun.
