We had a piece of equipment that kept be damaged by our local thunderstorms that we get . I installed this device in the remote box and we stopped having issue with the equipment. We only had a 110VAC circuit so the typical (similar device from SquareD - 220VAC) would not work however, this device was just what we needed. The device may be a little expensive however, it is a lot cheaper than the equipment that it protects.

Manufacturers warranty does not seem to cover anything it's supposed to be protecting.If they don't have any faith in it why should I ?

it does an excellent job, never fails.

I am using this to protect my furnace. Easy to install.
