Great product a must have with today's water quality.

When you think about it, what is the difference between the multi-hundred dollar filter systems and the $99 systems? I've actually used both, and I can tell you the difference is unnoticeable. These filters do a great job of removing whatever causes water to taste bad. Even my wife drinks from the sink now!

I haven't used these yet, as the original filters are only about 1 month old. Note, the directions for the filter housing say these should be replaced every 3 months and the 3 years shown here assumes a 6 month interval. Since the kids moved out many years ago and my wife passed away I will probably change them every 6 months. If you have a larger family, you might change them more often. B4 the filter I even bought a stand alone ice-maker to pour bottled water into because the ice out of the refer tasted bad. I actually quit using bottled water after installing this. Now I use water and ice straight from the dispenser in the refer. The water comes from the local water district and now tastes fine. I also got rid of the water softener as we only have 18 grains of hardness here. The filter has nothing to do with this though.
