Everyone wants to know where I got these brackets. Even the Spectrum installer was impressed. I handed the box to a contractor; just because he was already mounting my television; and everyone on the remodel project was instantly involved and examining my cable box mounts. The brackets are thumb-screw adjustable; to a point; so making them snug is simple. Just choose a model in the appropriate range of size. The metal frame and welds are super strong. The quality of materials and craftsmanship is excellent. Installation is idiot-proof, assuming the idiot is not mounting anything too heavy onto drywall. There are limits, but cable boxes are in no danger of pulling out of the wall. The kit came with 6 parts to assemble 2 adjustable bracket ends. The intent is to wrap all around a box. We found that using 1 open end as a sort of big flat cradle was enough to support the new smaller cable boxes. For me, the 1 kit mounted 2 boxes. We had plywood blocking behind the drywall, so the 2 original screw holes were enough. The Spectrum installer pointed out that the longer assembled end neatly fit the new DVR cable box and the shorter bracket end fit the standard box just like someone had made the brackets specifically for the purpose. Indeed, someone certainly had. If you have a flat screen TV and sound bar on your wall, you want this bracket to hide your cable box behind the TV. It totally works. The new remotes only need to be in the same room. The final look is impressive.

This is the exact product I was looking for. Needed to put a new cable box but wanted it to look nice and neat and to be put in a limited space area. This mount allowed me to conceal all the wires and cables. It has a nice sleek profile. I went 1 step farther when I mounted it. I could have mounted using the screws that came with it but opted to use commands strips instead. I bought strips that would allow me to hold a maximum of 16lbs, which this cable was well under that weight. Worked out perfect no drilling or screwing and allows me to remove the box effortlessly because the command strips are velcro which allows you to remove box and put back in if you ever had to service it. I have submitted before & after pictures.

I bought this product out of necessity to prevent my toddler from constantly pressing the power button on our Xbox while we were gaming. After installing a HIDEit mount for the Xbox, which securely tucks the console out of reach and sight, I was so impressed that I decided to get the universal mount for my TiVo as well. These mounts are incredibly easy to install and make a significant difference in tidying up my entertainment area. Now, my TV is mounted on the wall with zero visible wires or devices—everything is perfectly hidden behind the TV. I highly recommend these mounts for anyone looking to declutter their space. The attached picture shows both the Xbox and universal mounts neatly tucked away behind the TV.

I purchased the medium Wall Mount, it was easy to install and well made (make sure to match your size needs - several varying size options) A drawback is it may cost twice as much as other highly rated alternatives but then again I bought this after trying a cheaper highly rated alternative so it was worth it to me.

Received my HIDEit Uni-M cable box mount last week as promised on time. I had a rat's nest of cables hanging down from a new TV I mounted on the wall. I had a power and cable outlet mounted on the wall previously to provide a "cable free" view of the TV. Within about 45 minutes, problem solved! My cable box was easily mounted on the wall behind the TV and I was able to bundle all of the cords out of sight. You now just see the TV screen, no distracting cables. Great, clean, solution. My only feedback, the Xfinity digital box is a bit small for the mounting although it works fine. I would suggest a smaller offering in the HIDEit product line.

This box is well made worked great and held my Verizon Fios set top box on the back of my Samsung 55 inch tv-- I used a mounting bracket from a sound bar to hold the Hideit Box firm and behind my tv . The wall mount I used was a full motion mount. This box is great and easy to install -- would buy again when I get another TV.

Installing a piece of electronic equipment in a RV can be tricky. I needed a way to mount a DirecTV receiver on the wall near my TV set. I didn’t want to cut new holes in the wood finishing and access to the cabling for the TV is not readily accessible. I ordered the HIDEit Uni-M mount and was delighted at the clever design. I was able to mount the DirecTV receiver securely directly under a DVD player that came with the RV. The project took about 30 minutes to execute and I’m very pleased with how it came out. I would definitely order this product again and I highly recommend it.

I use this mount for my Super Slim PlayStation 3, and it works perfectly for that console. It seems very high quality and feels solid. It’s made from thick steel with a nice matte black finish, so it looks great and feels like it will last.

For a few bent pieces of metal this seems expensive but it does provide a solid, well-made bracket for fixing equipment to a wall.

Great little bracket. makes for a tidy mount. sky box hidden behind tv on wall - remote still works fine too.

The perfect invention to fit my PVR box and keep it hidden on wall behind the tv. But $90????? Really? Way too expensive for what it is but worth it to safely mount a heavy cable box. Would have given it 5 stars if wasn't so expensive

Not a bad product. Easily installed and hides away our Sky HD box behind our wall mounted 32 Inch TV. My only criticism, and the reason for the loss of 2 stars is that £50 is a lot of money to pay for 6 sheets pieces of metal, some thumbscrews and wall fixings, especially if you compare it to our heavy duty double arm cantilever TV mount. I would only buy again for other items if the price comes down.
