Excellent as a carry on - fits under the seat in front of you (as long as its not packed to the gills with solid contents)Perfect for a weekend trip as well.Plenty of room for laptop, clothing, electronic overnight bag, toiletry bag.Lots of space and compartments to keep things separate and adjustable straps for how it sits on your back.Straps are reinforced, but padded for comfort.Zippers are solid and smooth, materials are quality and design is very nice.Quality product from them. Great backpack! Deciding between thes and a Carhartt for a work/travel bag for my husband. The Carhartt is a great bag too but this one is a bit softer and more comfy, has the laptop compartment on the back, space door and ipad inside and a number of easy useful pockets. As well and water bottle holders on both sides.The Carhartt seems more durable, stiffer right now but will soften up. And for my husband I think the side zip compartment for the laptop is a winner.

When I bought this backpack I was initially worried, due to some reviews and product pictures, that maybe Swissgear wasn't the same quality brand I used to know and trust. However, several weeks after using it I only remain impressed at the sturdiness and design! For example, I believe the straps will hold up for years based on the tightness of the stitching and my own personal stress tests. Aside from the sturdiness, the organizational designs are also perfect for my needs. My favorite features are the protected sunglasses pocket, the dual mesh water bottle holders on the side, and the cushioning on the back for increased breathability. Thanks to the padding, I never have sweat marks on the backs of my shirts even on hot days, which can be embarrassing. The pockets for chargers, cables, and more are a very nice touch too. Altogether, this might be the best backpack I've ever owned.

Has plenty of room for your computer gear. The straps are very comfortable and bag looks nice as well.

This is the second Swiss pack I have purchased. I like the basic look, nothing too fancy, just utilitarian. We have taken these packs on many trips, including to Europe. They are roomy, and have just the right number of pockets so it’s organized, but I can still find things. I gave my first Swiss pack, which was a little bigger, to my husband, and I bought this to replace it. I knew it was a little bit smaller, but not enough to make a big difference for me. We recently did a one night car trip, and this was perfect for a change of clothes and a bathroom kit. These packs will be our carry-ons to Alaska this summer and Germany this fall. Highly recommend.

I received this backpack at the beginning of April so I have only had a little more than a month of use but I have found that it is a great everyday backpack. I bring it with me to work and I have used it for a 3 week long trip to Europe. It has enough room to pack a lunch, hold my sony xm4s/case, my water bottle, all the chargers and cables I need as well as my laptop.Pros-Holds a 32oz hydroflask in the pocket-Pockets for a tablet AND a laptop-Durable material-Not awkwardly large-Great deal for a Swissgear brand backpack because the newer models listed on their site are probably the same quality but you can get this one for cheaper and it’s just as good.Cons-There is nothing that I dislike about this backpack so far!

I’ve been using Swiss Gead backpacks for many years now. They are extremely durable, have great storage, look classy even when over 20 years old, and obviously hold up for a long time. I bought this backpack a few months ago and it still looks brand new.
