It checks out.
Bought this to go with my dive watch. I've read on a couple of posts here that it didn't work at all, right out of the package. So, when I received it a couple of hours ago, I immediately put it in the fridge for an hour, then the freezer for an hour. It worked. It wasn't digital accurate but close enough to 42F and 3F for my satisfaction. It will pick up your body heat. For me, this isn't much of a problem as it'll be outside of a wetsuit or mounted on my console. The only drawback is that the face isn't recessed and will undoubtedly become scratched or damaged with use.

Great on the go Thermometer with one noteworthy flaw.
It is a great on the go thermometer that is easy to read and, relatively, accurate. As others have noted, it does pick up body heat on watch band. Not a big surprise considering what it is. Off watch band, it has similar accuracy as the general use thermometers I picked up from my local hardware store. I took off a star because the degree markers don't have luminescence (glow in the dark) so night time use is questionable.

temp not accurate while wearing it on your watch band on your wrist.
temp is pretty accurate while not on your watch band. i put it in my fridge and out in another room . both times it was accurate according to another temp gauge i had give or take one or two degrees. that would be acceptable for me but when you put it on your the watch band and wear it it is off by 10 degrees due to your own body heat. not a good design. so for all practical purposes it is useless. and i could't return it either. that wasn't right either.

Not Accurate on Watch Bands
My thermometer arrived today. Although I don't intend to keep it attached to my watchband, I put it there initially to try it out. Within minutes, I realized that my body heat affects the reading. So, even though it is advertised as ideal for watchbands, I disagree. After removing it from my watchband, though, I am getting accurate temperature readings.I purchased this thermometer to hang on my backpack for use while backpacking. Initially, it appears to be perfect in this configuration. It's less than 1" in diameter, and about 1/2" thick. It weighs only 4 grams (0.1 oz), and provides a reasonably accurate temperature (when not touching my body). I think it's going to be perfect for backpacking!

Easy to read, even with my bad eyes
I love it, you will need a thin watch band.

Nice to know the temperature
The dial is a little small and hard to read, even with water magnification. It has 5 degree increments, but my eyes are old.

Love it! Tiny and works great.
I actually got this not for my wrist. It's aways annoyed me that my car doesn't have a temperature display in it. This little Guage is perfect! A piece of two sided tape and now it's on the edge of my rear view mirror. Seems very accurate and I'm glad to have it.
