Good latch for a simple closet door. This door really doesn't need a twist door knob just a little catch to keep it closed, and a dummy handle to pull it open.This did the trick.

I used for only one set of double doors and mortised hollow core doors with a sharp chisel and utility knife. If doing more than a couple doors, would setup a jig to rout like a strike plate. Adjustments are flexible and easy.

We have repaired a closet door numerous times. This works well. Magnet is strong and looks like it will last longer than the other repairs we have done. Money well spent. Cheap fix for closet doors.

These are not magnetic as some have mentioned. They are the standard ball and spring to divot in the strike plate. My biggest gripe was the screws that come with it, they are probably only about 1/2” long if that and very small to match the countersink in the plates. I had to find alternate screws so it was securely attached. The other thing that wasn’t a deal breaker but annoying was the barrel of the spring mechanism is loose in the mounting plate. Others I tried required a tool to adjust and probably hold the adjustment better. These turn easily, so I’ll probably apply a dot of blue loctite once I dial it in so it stays. Otherwise a really great price for eight pieces! The spring mechanism is real smooth too. Good luck!👍

Had one broken ball latch on a bathroom door.Only had to replace the ball piece. The old catch still worked. Took about 2 minutes. Works perfectly. Now I have an extra in the event another breaks.

Easy to install and works really well.

Screws were not included in the box.
