A great option
I purchased these to replace an 8 fixture array in my kitchen ceiling. The old ballasts were of the T12 variety and some were starting to struggle to turn on. 16 bulbs too, and I was replacing them here and there. Enter the new T8 ballasts from Robertson. After a month in use we really love them. They turn on instantly when you hit the switch, and none of them hum. I believe this style of ballast uses less electricity than the old magnetic ballast as well. Also, in wiring a T8 ballast, the old T12 fixture will have more wires than the T8 ballast. Be aware of the wiring technique you must use. These ballasts are smaller than the Phillips or Advance brand, which had me a little concerned. I guess only time will tell if they last as well, but at $8 per ballast you can't go wrong. In stores this style ballast in the Advance brand is $15 per. I had a couple of the ballasts left over after the job, so installed them in my workshop fixtures. We'll see how this ballast does in colder weather over the winter. But all in all, I really have not one issue.

They work great
They work great for me and had no probably with it. No hum, no turn on lag, light weight, small.

Slow to start
UPDATE:The ballast I put in my garage died a week ago 04/01/2021. I wish I had the great luck others had. I will be contacting the seller/manufacturer about warranty. They claim a 5 year warranty. I'll let you know how that goes. The price is fair but don't expect the LED light to come on instantly. I have installed half of the 10 pack I purchased and I have two separate models of LED light in some of the fixtures. Initially I thought there might be a 'burn in' so they would come a when switched. They come on 'half' bright and after about 10 or so seconds the are full brightness. the one I put in my garage takes a while at about 50 degrees temp. I live in Texas so we don't have the extreme cold like up north. I had some nice LED bulbs from a local Home Improvement store and with both 4 ft bulbs in the same fixture they take time to full on. I bought professional grade LED bulbs off of Amazon, I really like the light they give off but they don't come on full when you switch them on. I was out of date to send them back because I was looking for High Quality LED bulbs on Amazon. I think all the bulbs would work fine with a better ballast. Good for the money, but frustrating if you want your closet light to come when you flip the switch

Easy ballast replacement
I got a case of t8s cheap. I've used 8 of these to replace T12 ballasts to go to T8 lamps. They've worked fine. When I'm out of t12s, I'll switch to LED.

Came in a solid block package; in for one, in for all.
Used to support installation of new LED bulbs. Had to do wiring change at ballast install by cutting and reducing number of wires going to the holder leads.. you tube showed the way... everything works fine, once you do one, then others are faster-- you are buying 10 of these so speed of install is a factor, ballast fits exactly into old fixture tabs. Have no way of monitoring electrical usage savings, but I feel greener.

Good value, Buy a few extra.
I used these to retrofit 16 T12 fixtures with t8s about a year ago. 1 ballast was DOA and another just failed last month. Be sure to plan to purchase a few extra to have on hand.

LED conversion project successful
Wanted to go to LED's from fluorescent but needed to convert ballasts. I hadn't done this before, so I was a little concerned about how complicated it might be. The ballasts included clear re-wiring directions and everything went smoothly. The items arrived quickly, were as advertised and described, so I am very satisfied. Price was the best I could find anywhere. All the old units are changed out, and if everything goes as planned, I shouldn't have to change a light for the next 10 years!!!

Good quality at a very good price
These are some of the least expensive T8 ballasts that I have been able to find anywhere. I've exchanged T12 ballasts in numerous fixtures at my shop with these and they have worked flawlessly for over 2 years so far. This is my second order of them as I am now slowly changing out the ones in the office area as well.
