I recently began learning to bake but had no supplies. I’d heard of this brand so I bought it just trusting the name. It’s easy and so much fun to use. There are many different decorating tips. I’m still learning to use it all. Clean up is simple. I soak the pieces in soap and warm water. Then rinse and dry. The quality is excellent! I’m looking forward to using these again.

Purchased this to start baking tiered cakes for different holidays and gatherings. I haven’t used it yet, but it seems to be a good starter kit with everything you need if you’re a novice cake baker. I’ll post pics of my Valentine’s Day cakes once I’m finished to show you my results. So far, would recommend!

It has been some years since I have done any cake decorating but with a preschooler at home I want to do her birthday cakes and maybe teach her how to decorate as well.Overall this is a really nice set to get started with. There is a nice variety of the basic tips, "disposable" bags (which are lighter than the vinyl bags but heavy enough to be washed and reused at least a few times), a nice offset spatula, a quick coupler and a box to hold it in, which is important for keeping all your supplies together and not scattered about your drawers.The coupler is not necessary - you can always just drop your tip into the bag before adding icing. But it is really nice if you plan to use a few different tips, you can use the coupler and very easily change the tip without having to use another bag and more icing. If you are planning to use the same tip with multiple colors, though, you'll probably need a few more couplers (or at least coupler bases) as the coupler base goes into the bag with the icing. There is also a cap to cover the bag if you are going to have the tip off for some time.The coupler does not work with the larger tips. It only fits the smaller tips. I believe you can find larger couplers to purchase here or elsewhere to use with those.Along with the coupler is a bag cutter. The bags don't have a hole in the end and you need to cut 1" off the ends. I find that a quick snip with the scissors is much faster and easier than using the cutter, but if you have trouble cutting off too much or not enough, I suppose the cutter could be useful for that.Overall this is a very nice set for most home decorators. My biggest complaint is the instruction booklet. Since it's been so long I was excited to see that a booklet was included. But when I opened the booklet my excitement turned into frustration. If you are over 35, the booklet will be completely useless to you. It is written in 6 point type. I found it next to impossible to read. It's a simple 1-color black ink on inexpensive paper saddle-stitch booklet. It's not a particularly expensive piece to produce. Wilton, add 4 more pages and increase the size of the text in the booklet to at least 11 point. I saw several reviews stating that there were no instructions on using the coupler. There are instructions, they are just so microscopic that many people can't read them at all.

I've been purchasing tips one off for years and finally decided to get a complete set. (Plus, a box to hold all my stuff!) This is the perfect set for anyone who is just starting cake decorating, or has been doing it for years but would like to experiment with new piping ideas. It comes with just about every tip you need to make gorgeous buttercream designs. You also get plenty of piping bags and an offset spatula that is high quality and helps get your buttercream even. Personally, I love that attachment that allows me to switch the tips out quickly, without starting a new bag. Saves me a ton of time if I want to pipe different designs using the same color buttercream.

This set has (almost) everything you need to learn and master piping. The tips are high quality and varied allowing you to easily make all kinds of decorations. The case is a perfect storage space. The tips are stored upright which gives easy access and ability to differentiate between the tips. Each tip is metal and embossed with "Wilton" and the tip number, making it even easier to know which tip to use and to add to the collection. I recommend getting a couple of reusable piping bags of various sizes to complete the collection. I'm looking forward to decades of well frosted, filled, decorated and designed baked goods!
