Dehydrated Chopped Onion, 4 lb

These chopped onions took a while to arrive but the wait was definitely worth it. I love using these chopped onions. They smell great (if you like the smell of cooking onions!). I like that I can use them in both cold and hot dishes without hurting my hands or burning my eyes. If I want a more fresh crunch and taste of onion, I can add them at the end of cooking the dish or (for cold dishes) I can allow them to soak in what I'm mixing. I love cooking with and eating these and will definitely purchase more. They last a while depending on your cooking style. I use onion in just about all of my savory dishes. They don't just dissolve when cooked. You can even saute them. You can soak them in just a tad bit oAf water (not too much) and then saute them as you would fresh cut onions. These even work well in salads! I'm sold and appreciate the fact that they actually are real onions and you can see the ridges from the onion's natural nature.

Fantastic, we love onions in our food and this is sooo good. I will buy this again. And it’s cheaper than having to keep buying the smaller containers. Cooks good and taste good

Underrated pantry product! I keep these around all the time because so many things that I cook call for diced onions and these are so easy to throw into a pot of beans or a chili or soup. They have a lot of fragrance and flavor and grind easily if you want a little onion powder of a finer onion texture. I put them into an air tight container for storage and they last very well. Also, less crying when using dehydrated vs fresh onions ;-)

For years I bought the McCormick culinary cut onions in the silver carton. I guess they discontinued it or Amazon doesn't carry it anymore. The culinary cut has various size of onions you know like a person cut the onion. This new purchase has the word culinary but the onion pieces are mostly uniform. I liked the other best but these serve the purpose of not having to cut an onion. No cuts, no smelly hands, don't go bad, and don't require refrigeration.

I ran out, so on my new carton. So handy when you are out of onions, I toss this into many foods. They don't taste like fresh but have a pleasant onion flavor of their own and smell good. They can be added into liquidy (like sour cream or picante) foods or rehydrated in a little water. They rehydrate either way. I recommend for the convenience and flavor.

These taste exactly like the onions McDonald’s uses, which we like, I’ve put them straight into food and they cook well. I’ve also rehydrated them with water to sprinkle on things and it turns out good. Worth buying in bulk since we use onions a lot in our cooking!
