Nice case for the Raspberry Pi 3+ and the X820 Hard drive adapter made for it.
My goal is to have a low power server for my home network. I purchase this case and a X820 card to allow the mounting of a 2 TB disk drive. This all fit together very well. I am thinking of adding an internal UPS card which provides battery power to help with drop outs however, it doesn’t fit with these other components in the case. One thing that is missing is a way for the GPIO cable to come out of the case. I think there is a newer version of this case, but this isn’t a problem for my application. I almost messed up attaching the two screws to the hard drive because I had a problem getting the screws to go in. It seemed counter intuitive that the both the mounting and the hard disk were threaded. My problem turned out to be an alignment issue and not a matching between the two different sets of threads. The other issue I can see is that there is no indication that I could find showing which direction the air will flow with the fan. I would think that you would want to blow hot air out the top and draw in cooler air from the bottom. I will have to wait until I power all this up to know for sure which way the air is flowing. One drawback to this case for the Raspberry Pi 3B+ is that I believe the metal case blocks the WiFi and probably bluetooth signals from getting out through the metal case.

Nice Little Case
Not many decent Pi 3 cases still available except this one, and it fits together perfectly and works out great. No problems on assembly.

Used as a plex media server
I got this to host my music and TV shows from home. I did not expect a raspberry pi to be able to do the job for the TV shows but it does this flawlessly on wireless! I used an RC car fan instead to get ball bearing fans inside the case. Integy 30mm fans to be exact, 7-8mm thick fans. They sit on the 3.3v rail as they can be super loud on 5v. I also have a kintaro heatsink to keep things cool (never see's 50 degrees Celsius). This thing sits with a canned noobs image and plex on wireless! 24/7. I never have to shut this thing down due to crashes. It's the most reliable computer I've ever owned. It is hooked up to a wireless plug so that I can shut the thing down when I am away from home in case it ever did crash. I actually only use the plug when there's a huge thunderstorm coming through. Also, for hdd's I used an ssd. It's an msata 2.5" adapter to a 512gb msata drive. This route uses less amps to power the drive vs a 2.5" ssd. Some ssd's take 1.7 amps under load. Why did I not buy the msata geekworm adapter kit? Because flexibility, that's why.The entire Geekworm setup is worth every penny! I'm one to be very finicky with what I buy and I wouldn't hesitate to buy this all over again.

No more wireless connection
Just as an fyi you might want to put on the "cons" list that this box kills your rpi's wireless connections (both wifi and Bluetooth). Was not able to connect to hotspot of phone with phone sitting on top of completed unit. Granted I did plot out the boxes ports for a 3d printed version.

Does not really work for the Pi 3 plus
I bought the Geekworm case and HD board for my Raspberry Pi 3 plus with the intent of running my Pi off an SSD instead of the SD card. Of the two products I found, this looked like the best since I already had the HD. Upon receiving the parts I went to assemble the system and load the NOOBS so I could select multiple OS's. This review is for the case only since the board can be used separately. The case is a good quality metal with many ventilation holes along all the sides and bottom. A complaint from before about the USB connector from the HD expansion board to the PI has been resolved with the case now having a complete opening for the connector. This permitted the HD to run without problems. The negatives for the case are three things. 1) the case shows an opening for a GPIO cable but the width of the opening is smaller than necessary so it is difficult to get the ribbon header in and you have to fold the cable all the time. 2) There is a slot to access the SD card but on the 3 plus you have to pull the card out so you have to use a screwdriver or needle nose pliers to remove the card. 3) the on/off button is way too bit and interferes the the GPIO cable. Overall nice concept but it really needs some more thought.

Makes a perfect Nextcloud Server
This case is perfect for housing my Raspberry Pi 3 and a 2.5in SSD together. Now my Nextcloud setup sits neatly and quietly (more on that in a moment) in the corner of my office. Easy assembly!Ok, now to the quietly part. This case lost a star because that little fan is soooo loud. I don't know what they are referring to as "super mute", but the fan in this case is not it. I have 4-workstations and 2-HP servers in my office and they are all whisper quiet. The fan in this little box could be heard two rooms away!! The problem was not serious enough to return this little gem of a case, so I just disconnected the fan...problem solved! The raspberry pi and the solid state drive do not generate enough heat inside the ventilated case to be an issue.

Good cooling, sturdy.
This case is not that bad, is actually very sturdy and with great airflow. I recommend setting this up with an ssd and i also recommend buying some heatsink pads for the chips to maximize cooling. But overall this was a great purchase, except for the power supply.. You need to look somewhere else that have a power supply that will give the nessesary current to the board AND hdd board, otherwise itll undervolt. But as for the case and everything else: this is a good product.

I love it
The case is stready and strong material and a lot of ventilation, definitely recommend getting the the safe shut down board to effectively use the power button
