Waterman Ink Bottle, Purple

You can't go wrong with Waterman. My observations: 1. Nice color. Not a light purple. Neither a dark one. Somewhere in between. Check the pics. The pigment used is good. One can tell, coz the color doesn't wash away and isn't too light. 2. Product received: The bottle and the name of the color as shown on Amazon, is different from what I've received. Not sure, if they are the same with just a slight name tweak or a wrong purple shade has been sent. I received: Tender purple Ink and the name on the website says: Violet purple ink. Will look it up and decide if been sent a wrong one. 3. It's made in FRANCE. Yaaay. If u can't go to France, get France to you. Yes you read right. For the price, it's amazing. It's distributed in India by an Indian company. But the product is manufactured and produced in France. 4. Really cute and small bottle. The base of the bottle says: Made in France. Cap of bottle is sturdy and the glass bottle is strong. Happy. Since I liked the color. Cons: The bottle was packaged poorly. In the main Amazon box, which contained the bottle, the bottle had come out of the Cardboard box of the ink bottle. No spillage, but would have appreciated better packaging. Usually Amazon has had a good history for packaging products well. I think this one could be excused, since no damage to product.

The ink colour is beautiful. And so is the ink. It is reasonably wet and not too deep or light. It is a pleasant experience for a change to move from Black, Blue and Red inks. It shades good but not too great. Drying time is okay okay with juicy wet nib of my Lamy Safari Medium. I don't mind that. It's a fun ink. The paper I used is Endless Regalia. However, my favourite Waterman ink is Inspired Blue. Amazing shading and beautifully bright Turqouise color. However, it is not available in India since a year or two.

The ink is very good. It is just wet enough and writes very well in my Pilot Metropolitan medium nib fountain pen. The color in the posted pic looks bluish, but in reality the ink is on the redder side. Proper brinjal purple. Flow is good. Writes smoothly. Got it for Rs. 400/- during Republic day sale. Hence, on par with other normal inks as we get 50 ml bottle. So no issues with price.

Very smooth and fantastic writing with this product. You can use a syringe to fill in any of the refills!!

Classic purple shade. I used it with Cross Bailey Light. Very fine pen.

It gives a clog-free, smooth writing experience. It is a bit costly, but the product is money-worth.

Beautiful color, perfectly smooth, doesn't clog even the finest of nibs. Absolute perfection!

Nonpermanent fountain pen ink without any water resistance... Nothing unusual. Flimsy card sleeve of ink bottle completely mangled in transit but bottle intact. Perhaps some bubble wrap next time. Good, strong colour with good flow but not much shading. Good VFM.
