Handmade Traditional Ulu Knife with Damascus Steel Blade, Custom Handle, and Custom Sheath (Antler Mini)

Beautiful craftsmanship! Nice holster, though the snap to hold the blade in doesn't stay snapped - so I removed a star for that. The blade itself is awesome.UPDATE: They sent me a replacement sheath that snaps perfectly and is also stamped!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ And 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was in Alaska and purchased a stainless Ulu knife that was very thin. It is fabulous for cutting tomatoes and other vegetables. I felt the handle would wear out so I decided to buy a more substantial Ulu knife and decided on this one. It arrived in great condition. It needed to be sharpened. I sharpened it and tried to cut vegetables. It will cut them, but it smushes tomatoes more than slicing them. It is the thickness. However, get after a piece of meat with this and it is in its element. The handle on this knife seems as if it will last forever. So in the meat cutting compartment it'd be a 5-Star in my opinion, but not for vegetables.

This knife is wonderful. The blade and handle are absolutely beautiful. The knife is heavy and sturdy, and is obviously well constructed. It is sharp, and cuts like a dream, I have used it to cut vegetables, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, olives, and to slice a small pizza. I can see using this for the rest of my life. I was a little leery of spending so much money, when there are so many cheap ulus on Amazon, but I'm glad I did.The care and craftsmanship that went into making this knife are obvious, and for something that should last a lifetime the cost is worth it.

Product is as advertised- real Damascus steel instead of just an etched design on the blade and it's full tang as well so it's quite sturdy for its purpose. This is used with a rocking motion so is great for people with less hand strength or people who can only use one hand at a time.

I'm going to start with this ULU is absolutely beautiful! It has a great weight to it, comes with a nice leather pouch much like you'd expect for a high quality pocket knife. The pouch itself is put together really well, and I thought it was interesting that it came smelling of a fish or seal oil not sure exactly which, but thought it was worth mentioning.The knife itself doesn't feel sharp, but of course that darn edge at the right angle is no joke. Took a tiny bit of skin off my knuckle cleaning up a tri-tip for my smoker...My kids saw this ulu and their immediate reaction was "WOW! That's damascus steel!" We have a chopper that has a "damascus" print that while sharp and very reliable just doesn't match the quality of this ulu. It has a nice heft and feel. Cuts wonderfully, and is very easy to sharpen. (Probably why I sliced a small chunk of skin off...)I'd recommend this to anyone looking to by a good ulu. If you want a cheap one to get used to the rocking motion and use there are a few on Amazon that are in the sub 20 dollar range that will do. If you want one that is going to last you a good long time, then this bad boy is the one for you.Oh, and their shipping was quick and on point as well! Got to me in about 3 days from Alaska.

I wish I had found this one before I bought a couple of other Ulu's. This is a high quality knife with a very comfortable handle, true Damascus Steel, and good design. I expect to be using this for the rest of my life. Getting a dished board like the one I picture is useful for nuts and herbs, etc., but not a necessity. Save yourself some money and time and get this one. I'm very happy with it.

I was very skeptical at first because of the price but intrigued by the beauty of this product. This knife is as beautiful if not more and is exactly what it is advertised as. My husband was in near death motorcycle accident and had a partial right arm amputation. We ended up purchasing a utility knife locally which turned out to be cheaply made and didn’t last long. I’m in the process of buying the diamond cut steel sharpener for it (would be nice if it was advertised as a duo instead of a single purchase....hint hint) 😉. Love your products!!

This ulu is exceptional and beautiful just what I would expect from a hand crafted ulu from Alaska (my home) mine was lost in a move so I bought this one to replace it. The only negative thing I have to say in any way is that the blade isn’t sharp and to cut through anything requires way to much pressure which means a higher chance of hurting ones self. I will be keeping and sharpening it myself but I was disappointed it couldn’t even cut paper when I first opened the package it just tore through it, tried it on a box and all it did was leave a surface dent in the card board. I had expected more...
