"Everyday Raw" Is An EXCELLENT Cookbook by Matthew Kenney!!!!
I purchased this book mainly because I already have "Raw Food Real World" Cookbook by Matthew Kenney and Sarma Melngailis. Delish, so far....
I got this book for Christmas, along with an Excalibur food dehydrator. So far, the recipes I've made have been delicious and my family loves them. It can be time consuming, because you need to think ahead on some recipes in order to be able to dehydrate them. But it is well worth it, and actually making some of the items ahead, cuts down on final prep time of getting food to table after work. This evening I made the Mango Wraps pictured on the front of the book, and the Potato Salad (which is really raw Jicama). I did substitute Yellow bell pepper for the Red bell pepper the recipe called for - because my son doesn't like Red bell pepper. My husband and son gobbled them down and went back for seconds. So, I like that the family is liking the fare too.The photos are beautiful and the recipes, although some do require thinking and planning ahead, are easy to follow and straight forward. All in all, I really love this one and would recommend it to anyone that is high raw, or just experimenting. YUM!You can see the photo of what I made for dinner from this book at [...] to see just how mine came out. OH, and I made the Creamy Thai Dipping Sauce also, for the Mango Veggie Wraps. Easy and yummy!

Overall, a good and comprehensive raw foods book
This book has a lot of recipes that I haven't been able to find in a few others. Beware many recipes call for dehydrating (2 or more days) but luckily I have a dehydrator so that didn't deter me.I found the portions to be a bit large (most of them are 2 quarts or more) which was a bit off-putting because he DIDN'T tell you how to store the food and how long it will last once prepared. Cooking large quantities is fine when I know I can eat it for the next week, not so if it'll go bad in 3 days. I scale down many of the recipes (not very convenient). As far as taste, this book ROCKS!! The instructions are fairly easy to follow, but you do need to review and prepare your ingredients with care. Also, as one other poster mentioned, there are A LOT of recipes that call for young coconut meat. I live in New York and can't find coconuts anywhere! Obviously, for those living on the West Coast this won't be a problem. I suppose as a restaurant owner he knows exactly where to go and has no problem getting them. All in all though, this book is one of my top 5 favorites. Almost every recipe has a photo and there is great variety overall.

Still one of my top favorite raw food books!
I started my raw journey with this book years ago, and just bought a second copy (last one was “lost”) because I just love having it around. The photography is beautiful, the recipes are wonderful, straightforward, not difficult, and well worth a little of your time. And if you make the macaroons, you may find yourself eating them from the dehydrator as soon as they’re warm! Yes, they’re that good and the aroma is heavenly. If I were only going to have one raw food recipe book, this would be it. Eat delicious healthy food while happily mastering the basics - and beyond - of raw food prep.

Not For Those on a Budget
Though this book has lots of colorful pictures and interesting recipes, it is not the most realistic of raw cook-books. It requires special tools (dehydrator, ice cream maker, Vita-Mix) that the general population does not own. It also requires purchase of many high-cost ingredients. However, the recipes I made (Almond milk, key lime tart) turned out really delicious. The macadamia nut mayo wasn't very good though.Overall, it is a decent book for those who are into the raw food lifestyle. On the other hand, if you are on a budget, look around for other raw foods authors (Natalia Rose, Steve Meyerowitz) that are more realistic with items you can get at your local health food store.

Beautiful photos and simple recipes
Love the simplicity and wide appeal of these recipes. Can’t wait to dig in!!! Such a variety of textures and flavours. Bought this book after my third straight day of ‘nut pate’ in nori wrap. It’s a brave new world ;)

Great Book
Love Matthew Kenney's cuisine! He is one of the most original and sophisticated chefs in the raw food movement. His dishes are so elaborated and balanced that you totally forget that are not cooked. This is a great book if you are starting to eat more raw food and are looking for more simple, everyday, quick dishes for normal life.

Grazie amazon!

Good for inspiration
Good for inspiration. I'm massively into raw food so I get it, but if you're new, this isn't for you - quite tricky and specialist stuff. Not really 'everyday'. I love MK and his work, but feel it's important to share that this isn't for beginners. You need good equipment and access to some rare ingredients.

Too much nuts and seeds in recipes
Hello, I looked at all the recipes but realized that most of them have nuts and seeds. I eat more fruits and vegetables. But very nice pictures though !
