I got this with the primary purpose of trying to ease TMJ pain but was intrigued by the complexion improvement offered by blue light. So far, it seems to be helping the pain more than expected, which is awesome because not much else has been. The mask comes beautifully packaged and would make a nice gift for the spa-inclined in your life. It feels very premium from the moment it arrives. The instructions are clear and simple and it charges up quickly. I have a pretty large head and the strap and closure (Velcro-type) fit around my head fine. I find it most comfortable to wear lying down but you certainly can wear it while sitting up (I wore it while answering emails this morning). The eye cups for protection work fairly well to keep light out. The red and infrared are combined in one setting, so there are four options: red/infrared, orange, blue, and then one that cycles through the three. It has a timer so you select how long you want that cycle to go and it automatically shuts off. The controller is simple, just three buttons. You do have to hold the on switch for a couple of seconds, which is nice to keep it from accidentally turning on while the lights are facing you! It seems sturdy and it's easy to clean. Overall, I don't have a ton of experience with these but I'm absolutely pleased with it for a first buy, I would (and have) recommended to friends, and would get another of the same if needed.

I noticed a significant improvement in my skin’s texture and brightness after the 4th session. I use "FULL" light spectrum for 30 min. This gives me 10 min each of Red, Blue then Orange. I sometimes add 10 min of Red at the end to give a full 20 min of Red. Ease of use: Apply mask, select the desired setting, and relax for 10-30 minutes. I have been using it after I wash and dry my face at night, then rest while listening to an Audible book, or I scroll through social media. The included remote with rechargeable battery fits nicely in my bathrobe pocket if I get up and move about. The sturdy design and reasonable price make this mask an excellent investment for anyone serious about skincare.
