Excellent. I have a 2000 Landrover Discovery. As is common with these, the wheel nuts have distorted. Was told at garage that they could remove, but may not get them back on properly. I got new wheel nuts & tried to remove old ones. Lump hammer & socket. Got 1 off, but the nut is still in the socket. Not wanting to buy a socket for each nut, I looked around & found this.It was delivered in a couple of days (thanks). May seem expensive for a socket, but worth every penny.I used this with my torque wrench. hint #1. put the socket onto the nut before putting the handle on. gives a secure fit.Wheel nut came off with no more effort than should be. Swapped all the nuts over no problem. hint #2: use this to loosen the nut, then remove. As this is really for releasing damaged nuts etc. replace the old/damaged one & use a standard socket to tighten them.I've also bought the smaller version of this (9-22mm)Please note: This review is based on my own experience. I'm not a qualified mechanic. If unsure about any kind of maintenance or repair, contact a professional.

Handy sturdy tool
Have not used mine, didn't fit what I bought it for. Happy with purchase. All purpose wrenching tool.

Incredibly strong & durable
Highly recommend ! I bought it to see if it was strong enough to open some VERY stubborn fire hydrants.IT IS ! I put the socket on a breaker bar ratchet. The hydrants were so hard to turn, I had to pull with my entire body weight & every bit of muscle I could muster...one inch at a time... and the socket held up beautifully. Worked like a charm !

Diameter of external socket.
The socket was too large to fit inside the tube I had. I have not been able to use the tool . . .yet.

Sooo Glad I bought this socket before doing smooth wire fencing.
So, I already have one of these, the smaller one (got it for christmas some years back). We were doing smooth wire fence where we were installing round eye ring threaded hardware into wooden posts. Normally you pre-drill and use something like a large crescent wrench or a screwdriver thru the eye of the hardware. This socket allowed me to get my cordless DeWalt 3/8" impact after pre-drilling and just rattle the eye lags into the posts. When you are doing this all day, it makes a real difference, probably saving me 5 minutes per post. The socket marks the eye because the steel on the lag is softer than the driving pins in the socket, but what a godsend! My only wish (as ridiculous as this sounds) would be for them to make an even bigger socket or something silly like an oval socket that accommodated very wide objects.... also, they need to make a "deep socket" version of both as the pins only go in about 1" due to some sort of plastic carrier inside. Solution, make a longer socket? Eh? No complaints, though, great for driving eye lags, hook lags, wing nuts, square head bolts, etc.

Works well for light duty but not anything more.
It worked for the job required and will work for light duty small handyman applications. The claim on the force rating is nowhere close to accurate. The plastic inside is weak and will cause slippage/gripping problems if slightly crooked, unlike most sockets. The pins get loose after one or two mid-duty uses. I would recommend for just a light duty handyman but would not recommend to anyone that does anything that requires much torque or grip. The socket does not hold up to 65 ft-lbs let alone the claimed 450 ft-lbs rating.
