Works for my Dell Laptops
Compatible with my Dell Lattitude 7430 and my Dell Precision 7770 laptops. Unlocks automatically when the key is inserted (most of the time). Came with two keys, and works as expected. When locked into the laptop, it does wiggle but doesn’t come out (although I haven’t tried to remove it forcefully). It’s a nice added layer of security, enough to keep honest people honest. I don’t know that I’d trust this in a truly public space on an unattended device as it seems like it could be broken or cut if someone really wanted to.

Best (and possibly ONLY) Choice for Laptop Lock Requiring SMALLER Tab Insert
I have a Dell 2 In 1 PC and the slot for the cable lock is smaller than is currently available in most stores where I live. I did as much research as possible and when this item arrived it was the PERFECT MATCH for my PC. The cable is very long and allows you to loop it around any thing that is permanently anchored. The lock requires a key and in my opinion, this is more preferable (in most cases) that a combination lock system as in many public venues (coffee shops, etc.) there is always the risk of shoulder surfers. There is a small chrome-plated attachment that is designed to help in managing the long cable. I have installed this as well as it seems to add additional protection by providing a metal frame that reduces wobble of the lock in its slot and will help to minimize damage should you have to move your PC out of the way of a puddle of coffee or something. Accidents happen.NOTE!!! It is worthless if you secure it around a chair leg and a thief simply has to lift the chair to walk away with your device! Do NOT blame the manufacturer!I am totally satisfied with this product and if you are having problems finding the smaller tabbed lock for your DELL (or similar), this IS the way to go!

Fits in the newer, smaller wedge docks
It does what it's supposed to, but would be very easy to break with wire cutters. I already am in a relatively secure place and just wanted to prevent anyone from just picking up my laptop and walking away. For that purpose, this works well.

You best option when you need a new noble configuration
I was forced to buy this style lock after discovering that the 4,000 laptop cable locks I own do not work with a Dell Inspiron 13 Series 5000 2:1 ultrabook.Bitterness aside, this does everything you'd want it to. It is compact and very easy to use. The cord is long enough for almost any public use. I attached a s-biner to the key so I can clip it to the cable. I just unclip it when in use, and clip the key to my pocket.

Good. Could be more foolproof.
I've been using this with my 2015 XPS 13, and it works pretty well. I enjoy the speed of keyed access versus a 4 digit combination lock.I find it comparable to the $20 Kensington locks I bought, and with the relative costs of other Noble Wedge locks, this seems pretty good.Locking:Insert lock into port (no key needed), push slide forward. The slide nub is undersized for my liking. It's too easy for me to slide my finger over it without fully engaging the lock, but that's just me complaining it's not foolproof. If I'm competent, it works just fine.Unlocking:The key inserts with no force, until you feel spring resistance, and if you push through that, the lock springs open. It unlocks smoothly and requires little force, and the release feels defined, so it's intuitive when the lock is unlocked. With some practice, this would be possible to do with one hand, perhaps without looking.Good:The lock appears to be quite secure. It feels fine and the cable is of average thickness and length. It comes with two keys, one of which I carry, and one I keep retrievable in the room in case I misplace my keys.Needs work:Inserting the key is not as foolproof as I'd like to see. If the key is not centered in the opening, it does not slide in and self align like one would expect. It gets caught and has to be taken out and inserted correctly. It's not ideal if you're in a hurry or like things to work dreamy-dreamy, but it's not difficult to operate if you pay attention and align the key well. Conclusion:It's a good lock.

Perfect for my XPS 13.
Easy to use and fits my Dell XPS 13 just right. The cable is thin but it should be enough for leaving the laptop for short periods of time. I don't know how much effort it takes to cut it. I would not leave my laptop overnight in an office where someone has lots of time to work on cutting it.

What a Rip Off; 40 dollars for a flimsy wire lcok
Its a flimsy wired lock for portable electronics and thats about it. Instead of Kingsten slot, Dell ultra slim inspirons and XPS laptops use this smaller slot (called Noble slot) and highly effective, inexpensive and universal locking cables do not fit into the slot. You can get an excellent Kingsten wire lock for 10-12 bucks, either with keys or combination lock. Unfortunately, if your PC/Mac has this smaller slot you have no choice but to buy this one. While the lock functions as intended, the wire is very thin, a crook with a decent cutting pliers can snap it in seconds. Just because this is the only brand out there, it is priced at 40 bucks. Such a flimsy wire lock for Kingsten slot would be less than 5 bucks and you can find plenty of them here on Amazon. Any advantage in the locking mechanism is negated by the weak wires. This piece is worth no more than 10 bucks but due to the lack of competition, they are ripping consumers off.

EXCELENTE FUNCIONALIDAD
El candado funciona perfectamente, muy ligero y manipulable. Lo mejor que tiene es que incluye un soporte para cables, que evita que se roban la fuente de alimentación de la portátil

Excellent product
The locking cable seems to be bit thin, else otherwise the prodyct is ok, the lock fits the notch in XPS13 and Inspiron 7000 series 13 inch laptops.
