It is just a knob
Yes it's a knob and it's not broken like it predecessor was. I will admit it look stronger. But it is younger.

Dryer is Working Again!

Easy to put on, but it won’t last long!
This knob worked great….for about 3 months. I was so bummed that it cracked after such a short time. Other than that, it’s a nice knob. It feels good, matched the other knobs on my dryer, etc. But honestly, when you’re a knob, you have ONE JOB, and it doesn’t matter how nice it looks if I can’t set the timer for my dryer!
