Does this saw have a built in light?

NO. I just use a headlamp for precise cutting.

I believe the horsepower for this saw is 1/3HP not 1/5HP. This is from other searches and the product website. Can you confirm?

The motor is not marked with a horsepower rating. There is also nothing noted in the instruction manual. I would think the product website is correct.

The blade on my Zephyr seized twice; I replaced it twice, and the third time the blade self-destructed. Has this happened to anyone else?

The times mine seized was due to small piece of glass got in the pully. Saw still good.

Does it splash s lot of water?

Quite a bit of water comes around with the blade but little goes beyond work surface. I wouldn't use saw in an area that could not tolerate a bit of spray. It's no messier than a grinder and can make some incredibly difficult cuts.
