I had an ear wax problem and it got to a point where I was reduced to 30% of hearing capacity in one ear over the last 3 months. I tried the usual liquid-type OTC solutions but they all didn't seem to help and some felt like it was just making it worse. Then I stumbled upon these "in-ear camera" type tools and decided to try one out. So the tool itself is exactly as it is described - it's an ear wax removal tool with a tiny camera so you can remotely see what you're using the tool on. Wouldn't you know it - after removing more ear wax than I was expecting, I could hear again! After suffering for months waiting for the chemical method to do something, it took me only 3 sessions to get rid of the accumulated ear wax and get back to 100%! Of course, as with any home remedy, this has to be done carefully. Don't forget that you're actually sticking something in your ear, and there is a chance that if you make a mistake you could cause eardrum damage. This is where the tiny camera comes into play. In combination with a smartphone, the camera has an LED light next to it and it gives a clear, bright image of what is inside the ear canal. This image is vital to doing the job safely. Amazingly, this type of technology is available nowadays for anyone at a reasonable cost. The camera on this tool has to be paired with a smartphone or tablet to serve as the camera monitor. I did read the other reviews before choosing this item, and with regards to the suspicion of privacy I decided to use an old smartphone that I had and I connected it to my isolated guest WiFi instead. This ensured that if there was anything fishy with the viewing app, it would not have any access to my actual private network or any other device connected to my network. I can understand why there are comments about the privacy though (to be honest, this app does not need complete access to the entire network, there is no reason for it) and since I had to take a few extra steps to keep my home network secure when using this device, I removed 1 star from the overall rating. So all in all, if you need to remove wax, this is a good option to try. It costs less than a visit to an ear specialist, but as with all DIY things, you have to be very careful when using it.

I frequently get a lot of build up of wax which leads to itchiness and can block a good percentage of my ear canal if left alone. I used to have to get ear cleanings with my doctor often, but it's kind of expensive to do that and I don't like using my time for it. Decided to try this on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. To use the tool, you will be required to download an app to your phone. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but basically you need to open the app, then hold down the power button to turn on the tool. You have to turn on your wifi from your phone and connect to the tool through the app. The app should display the POV from the tool if done correctly. It takes a bit of practice to use the tool and I recommend using the right/left ear button on the app which changes the perspective of the camera. I recommend going very slowly, because the tip of the tool is further out than it seems, so take care not to damage your ear drum by jamming it in quickly. The tool comes with a variety of tips but I really only use the default "scooper" one. If your ears are particularly dirty, I recommend getting a syringe to help blast water into your ears which can loosen up the wax. I bought one from amazon that was made for ear cleaning and I think it's a great supplement to this tool. If you find yourself pushing the wax further in, try using the syringe to push it back out. Overall, the tool works exactly as intended and has saved me trips to the doctor while being really affordable. One of my best purchases!

I have been very squeamish lately and have avoided products like this since I would be creeped out looking at my eardrum. Well, my left ear was completely clogged up and I couldn’t hear out of it for two weeks! Debrox drops were not helping at all. Well, I was desperate and ran across this device! Setup was extremely easy. Camera was on and app downloaded in 2 minutes, if not less. It was super easy to manage. Well, I looked in my left ear, the clogged one, and could see like a black wall of funk. I didn’t know what my ear drum looked like so I decided to look into my right ear next. I saw my ear drum, which is opaque and silvery looking (can’t miss it), and a big glob of hard earwax sitting in front of it! You can see it on the wipe in the photo. I used the device and it came out easily. I did a little housekeeping in there and moved to the bad ear. I realized that the wall was earwax and you couldn’t see my eardrum at all! So I got to work! 30 minutes later I took so much gunk out from that ear it was ridiculous. I still need to go back in and finish. I can finally see my ear drum now! But some of my wall of earwax is still there. Not the devices fault at all! It is simply because the earwax was so hard that I irritated the canal a bit from scraping against it and trying to drag/scoop the earwax out. I really should have applied some drops to my ear to soften it up a few times before starting but I was impatient to hear. Not going to lie, this is a bit addictive if you have enough cleaning to do in there. I was satisfied! I love watching videos like this and I love that you can record your work! I went back and watched the video several times! Did I mention I’m squeamish? Not anymore! ADVICE: Take your time! It takes a little getting used to to get used to angles etc. I didn’t switch from right ear to left ear, which is an option for the camera view on the app. I kept it on right ear and it worked just fine for me! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! You’ll start to see how you can scoop up the earwax better and can get better camera angles/ a better view inside. I also recommend to not stay in there for too long. I cleaned for like 45 minutes and I don’t recommend that. Now my ear is a little raw inside. I think you can see a small part starting to get red and irritated after awhile. After 15 minutes I would come back and try again another day. If the earwax is hard to get, use some ear drops to loosen it up and come back another day. It’s not worth the irritation inside. I just did this yesterday and left it alone but my ear does have a little pain when yawning, etc. so I’ll let it heal for a week or so before I go back in to finish the job. Again, completely my fault since I was so intrigued by cleaning my ears and very impatient. My earwax in my left ear is right in front of my eardrum if not on top of it a bit. I’m using the drops for awhile to get it to move a little away from it. I don’t want to touch it by accident! I recommend the same! Afterwards you will hear so much better! Things actually seemed almost too loud for me and I had to get adjusted to the louder sounds. I actually jumped once I cleared a little hole of my impacted ear. Once I’m done I can’t imagine how much louder everything will be again! I now realize I don’t think I’ve been hearing right for a couple of years now and wish I had this earlier! I recommend this device to everyone! My right ear was clear but there was still a huge glob of dried earwax in there! Just use it and take a look to make sure everything is clear. You won’t regret it! I normally don’t write reviews but I had to! This is a well-made product! I definitely won’t be sticking Q-tips in my ears anymore and will do some maintenance every few months or so instead. I know you’re not supposed to use them, and I was, so that probably had an effect along with prolonged earphone use!!

I originally bought a different ear wax tool from a Facebook ad, but I could never get it to connect to their app. The LEIPUT Ear Wax Removal Tool was a huge improvement right away—the app connected super quickly and easily with no hassle. It did take me a little time to adjust to the camera angle, and I still haven’t been able to see much past the entrance of the ear canal. That might just be my technique, but it’s worth noting if you’re expecting a deep view right out of the box. That said, the silicone tip is fantastic. It grabs onto wax really well—some of it sticks even without much scraping, which is great for gentle cleaning. I originally bought this for my child, who has really stubborn, compacted wax, but now I can see us using it for the whole family. Overall, a solid purchase with a couple of small learning-curve quirks, but definitely worth it for the ease of use and effectiveness.

I was able to use it today to clean out my severely clogged left ear, which was so bad that I couldn’t hear out of it. My doctor assured me that it wasn’t a ear infection. Initially, I thought it was an ear infection, but the doctor examined my ear and confirmed that I had a significant amount of earwax buildup. Sadly this device is good enough to clean out earwax but handle with care in your ears. Least my left war pain is gone too well more like vibration in my left ear because it was clogged badly with earwax. The functions for this device one thing that needs to be improved is the length of what goes inside your ear needs to be tad bit longer. How the LED light and the camera does come in handy to see inside your ears and should be able to support Bluetooth as well over Wi-Fi. It comes with a bunch of extra tools to help clean ear, but I think there could be some better improvement with that area by integrating them into the device itself. The appearance and functions are helpful. It does help but with ear pain by unclogging ear wax. The only improvement I would want is a longer bit. So with that, I would only have to give it a four out of five stars. And the tips that comes with it maybe more storage like adding more tips if the family wants to use it. Also, it would’ve been nice if this came with a storage case to put it in instead of a box.
