Odor wasn’t too overpowering, sprayer worked well, used to remove tape adhesive on salon applied hair extensions, I needed to remove prior to next hair appt. Was a little unsure based on some reviews, all good though, came out quite easily, didn’t pull my own hair out, which I was concerned about. Product washed out of my own hair and hair extensions well, there was a slight orangey odor on hair extension tape, nothing too bad. My experience was good, wasn’t a full head, only 7 sandwiches to remove on either side of head, easy to see and treat each section. I would recommend C-22 Solvent Spray.

Gentle & Effective – A Must-Have for Hairpiece Maintenance! As someone who’s worn a hairpiece for over 13 years, I’ve tried many DIY methods to remove tape adhesive. This is my first time using Walker Tape C-22 Solvent, and it made the process much gentler on my unit. The solvent has a strong citrusy (orange) smell and an oily consistency, but it washes off easily with shampoo. I recommend wearing gloves—though not mandatory—since the oil lingers on skin after washing. How it worked for me: Sprayed liberally on old tape, waited a few minutes. Tape peeled off easier, but residue remained. A second application dissolved it completely. Washed my piece thoroughly—no lingering smell or oil. Finished with a light alcohol wipe for extra cleanliness before retaping. Result: My hairpiece stayed secure with fresh tape, and the solvent helped preserve the base. For anyone extending the life of their unit, this is a game-changer! Side note: I’ve saved significantly on hairpieces the last 4 years. Happy to share my source—just ask in the comments!

I got tape in extensions for the first time and after 6 weeks I was over it. I tried everything before purchasing this product to get the residue glue out of my hair. My husband sprayed this product in my hair and within 30 seconds the glue brushed right out of my hair! I would recommend this product to anyone.

The product generally works great, you do have to really saturate the extension tape to remove, which results in quickly running out of product. Otherwise, everything about it is great!

I don’t normally write reviews unless a product/service is either awfully GOOD, or horrendous, needless to say I’m writing this one because I. AM. WOWED! I’m very new to wearing lace wigs. I dove head first into installing with ghost bond glue (it definitely does what it’s supposed to btw). As you can imagine I was left with globs of caked on glue, about 4 layers of it to be exact lol. I wasn’t readyyyy *insert Kevin Hart voice. In a state of panic I drove to my closest beauty supply store and found a supposedly fast acting glue remover by salon pro (definitely don’t waste your money on THAT). I used nearly half the bottle and was only able to get glue off the center of my forehead (don’t ask lol). The glue remover also has a VERY strong smell that lingers until you wash your hair, and a film of sticky glue residue since it breaks the glue down, but doesn’t really detach the glue from your hair, I hope that makes sense. Anyway I’d order c-22 solvent when I first got my wig, but due to recent shipping delays it hadn’t come til today. I didn’t expect much from it at all because if you’ve tried one glue remover you’ve tried em all right? WRONG!!!!!. I opened the bottle and immediately noticed the smell was a lot more subtle and pleasant! It’s light and citrusy. I sprayed 3 squirts in one affected area and started my tv show expecting to be sitting there combing glue out of my hair for the next hour, Girrrrl! It took 3min! I combed out CLUMPS of glue with my hair in tact! It was virtually pain free too! No film, no residue. I thought it was a hoax so I repeated the steps on my other temple, same results! I wasn’t prepared to leave a review, so I have no comparison photos to show how my hairline looked after spending HOURS removing glue with the first solvent, but the pictures attached are what 5min of using c-22 solvent did. You may see residue, but it is just leftover glue that can EASILY be combed out. I hope this helps *actually they won’t let me attach photos..bummer. I still hope this review helps someone. Great product. I used it for my tape-in extensions and tape peeled off very quickly and no residue!

This stuff smells horrible, like toxic, and it stings a little on the skin Takes forever to loosen any glue/tape but I guess eventually it does work Wouldn’t recommend for daily use near your edges

Very effective and easy to use

There are a few products out there but this one remains the best. And it smells lovely (orange) so can’t go wrong. It saves so much time when you have the right stuff!

More like 4.5 stars. I cannot speak for other tapes/ tape residue, but this worked fantastic for me. I use the Walker tape for my hair extensions, and was losing my mind at the residue it left. Nothing worked, alcohol, coconut oil, hair masks, etc. this worked and within minutes or less. Only downside is the smell is quite a strong citrus that can linger a little bit. Worth it to have my head glue free, however.
